This game shows how hard it is to win at their level. There was a chance for a big advantage but it didn't seem all that obvious. Put that together with Abasov's toughness and it is really hard to get the W. But Vidit is still in the hunt, he's playing well, he's cool under pressure and there is a lot of chess left so he has chances to pull off a big surprise. Gonna be tough against Gukesh who's coming off a loss which will make him extra dangerous. Get it done Vidit! The coverage of these games by Chess Base India is really fantastic! He missed an easy trick that Caruana applied versus Nijat. Nijat is a fighter but not as good overall. Caruana just put him under time pressure and the error came. Rather than taking so much time, Vidit could have played quickly and waited for Nijat to self destruct.
