Was Your Amazon Associates (Affiliate) Account was Banned in 2019?

I still cannot understand why they would ban someone from their program when he/she brings a lot of revenue to the company!!! It seems very weird... About the images of Amazon that might ban you from the affiliate, how do they know if we used their photos? I mean product photos are the same at almost all online shops. I also heard that if you use the word "Amazon" in your buy buttons, might also get you banned. Is it true?

I've been blogging for over 13 years. The affiliate program was bringing in about $20 a month, enough to cover my hosting fees. Yesterday I got the "Warmest Regards" letter and they kept some of the money that I advertised for them. I guess they aren't rich enough or the $0 taxes a year is hurting them. The appeal box was invalid. I'm not going to try again. Thanks for the video.

Check out the other video I posted in the cards. There's 28 things that will get you banned without warning but you also have to comply with the KZbin terms of service too so it gets tricky.

I am evaluating whether or not to become an Amazon Affiliate in the first place. It sounds to me like once you get big enough, they TRY to find a reason to ban you, lol. I'm not sure about that, but I will be cautious. Thanks for the info!

I would have a good look at your options. Since making the switch it's been a lot better. Depending on your niche, there's plenty of great affiliate programs and trusted shops out there other than Amazon.

Nah, if you are really big, that's only when a real human will reply to you and in most cases reinstate the account. But for small affiliate, its sorry, to hell with you, we don't need you. Amazon is very big and they know for some products they remain the best affiliate program.

For listing that using the links helps support the channel "Encourages bookmarking" so they say. In the end it could have been a few reasons which is my own fault for not understanding legal terminology properly. 😆

go see some of the very biggest channels on here and see how they just don't put amz's link disclosure! One rule for some and another for others! Nothing to do with amz tos. Amz just cherry pick if you stay or leave i believe. Really.. don't waste you time with affiliate providers that are actively working against you. Thats the worst arrangement. Also avoid country specific schemes.. your traffic is worldwide so you're limiting yourself. You made an important video for many.

hello, pls i wanted to ask, i got an email saying that amazon is terminating my associates as well as operating agreement that governs it and if my store ID was configured to earn globally it has been closed across all countries. then the next day i received an email saying congrats you are in for the amazon associate programme the question will be is my account still terminated

Hello, I just applied for an affiliate account..I sold two subscriptions but I my application was rejected, because of "plagiarism". They sent me an email with the link of the website and post that I had supposedly plagiarized. I've never plagiarized anything, I have never been to this site and don't have any post on the topic of the post in question. I just appealed this allegation. Has anyone been in this situation before? Thanks

The US Amazon account is still banned. It was almost impossible to get an email reply from them which was a shame. The other countries are all good still.

Since I moved away from Amazon US things have been a lot better. It took a few months to work out where to go but there's a lot of services that allow you access to many companies that carry lots of products.

They give special links for associates/affiliates to use their images or banners and so on, just saving the pic and re-using it on your site is where you go wrong in this case.

Nope. The only way is to set up a new business name/number. Sadly, this method doesn't work.

Such a shame Amazon doesn’t have any way of warning people of any infractions they may have done and keeping the money that was earned. Another case of a company that started out small and humble growing to another greedy faceless corporate giant. So sad.

I’m not a creator, just a viewer, Shane. I notice that it appears to be fairly common for posters to say in their vids that purchases via affiliate links “help to support the channel”. Such statements might not be written in the descriptions themselves, however. Is Amazon picking up on the only via vid comments? From my viewpoint, I don’t mind affiliate arrangements as long as they are declared AND the channel content remains valuable and worth watching. Channels that have p..s.poor info and lots of affiliate links are not worth my time, and should disappear. Terms of service merit careful reads - I’ve stayed away from some social media sites after reading, and being turned off by, terms of service. As a side comment (sorry for the length) if a channel is crappy, but an Amazon item seems interesting, I’ll detour the affiliate link and find the item on Amazon directly.
