Yuji Itadori (虎いた杖どり悠ゆう仁じ Itadori Yūji?) is the main protagonist of the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He is the son of Jin Itadori and Kaori Itadori, and the grandson of Wasuke Itadori. Yuji was living a normal life in Sendai City until he encountered Megumi and ate one of Sukuna's fingers. After becoming Sukuna's vessel, Yuji began attending Tokyo Jujutsu High alongside Megumi and Nobara as first-year students.

Yeah, saying that it was a waste of time was an exaggration. Still, i do think the concept of a jujutsu battle royale that takes place in such a big chunk of Japan could have lent it to having even more different and unique fights. With more than just our current cast of main and some side characters ( mainly noritoshi, miwa, Todo and maybe nobara ) but also potentiall new friendly side characters that could have been introduced like higaruma and Amai.

That takes away his arms while Yuta can spam CT’s&Rika beats the shit out of him. Yorozu has the same stuff just replace rika&copy with her bug armor+Perfect sphere sure hit&Kashimo loses mid difficulty to both of these guys.

I personally think it didnt change his physicals at all or give him any improvement in the output, but it does open the doors for him to potentially eventually gain his own DE which would be Yujis true awakening!

Yujis awakening has been a progressive slow burn, one that I am so fucking surprised people are crying about. Its not like Tanjiros demon mark, its not Luffy bs Gear 5, and its not like the Iconic Super Saiyan. Hes always been strong physically, but the other half to complement that has been tied to his mindset and skillset as a sorcerer. Honestly with how long hes been a sorcerer and his unknown origin, its the most realistic growth. As much as i would love to see him hit that moment where bodies the fuck out of Sukuna, this short time frame and what he has to learn and go through really makes it feel like a journey to become truly strong and defend the people he loves. It makes up for Gege skipping a bunch of freaking training arcs and character interactions thats for sure.

Wow….i never interpreted that way,I’ve always stanned yuji and I didn’t mind the awakenings slow progress…but the point u made about us seeing what it truly means to be strong through yuji’s character arc really hit home for me,it would tie the whole plot line of “WHAT IT MEANS TO BE THE STRONGEST”as we go through this story and see what yuji goes thru to be as strong as he is by the end of the story ,I definitely see what gege is trying to do here 🔥🔥🤔💯(assuming gege takes this route)

I dont think people are used to the slow development especially in a main character and it just sucks that we basically dont get a lot of meaningful Yuji moments. He defeats Mahito but Kenjaku gets the kill and he hit Sukuna with 8 black flashes and he fuckin TANKED them. Its not all Yuji’s progression is ignored in the long run. Short term its dope but it never amounts to anything

Its never flipped again, until Sukuna stole Megumis body as another instance. We see how his mental is through Higoromo that he blames himself. But people overlook all that. For what we get, people miss, but I damn sure agree we needed more of Yujis perspective as the main character of this story moreso than ever during the culling games.

That can easily be 2-3 episodes before meeting Yuta. The anime has an easy way out. Manga? Not so much based on where it's headed in these next couple months since it's apparently ending end of the year

10:18 Funnily enough, I do now understand how fast 50 times a second is. It's funny enough exactly 10x Faster than Mahito's 0.2 Second Domain Expansion, given you can equivalently write that as Todo popping a swap every 0.02 Seconds. Funnily enough, Todo's Re-Boogie Woogie and the 50 Swaps a Second is the backbone of my Debunk of why Sukuna does not have Light Speed Reaction Timing. I did the math purely out of dislike of Kashimo.

Here’s my JJK hot take, the series has the exact same problems that ruined MHA. Sidelined characters, plot points going nowhere, mishandled deaths, lightning fast pacing that leaves no time for explanation or reflection, an over-reliance on flashbacks (particularly in Shinjuku for JJK) and generally just sidelining everything else logic be damned for the next hype moment to end the chapter on. There are so many things about JJK that are never explained or elaborated on which undermines tension and under-developed characters that undermine stakes. Don’t get me wrong, I love JJK but I feel like the chapter by chapter quality has been waning since Shibuya, the culling games had some amazing highs like Sendai colony and the Meguna scene but it’s quality was on the way down and Shinjuku showdown has been pretty underwhelming so far, I know it’s good for people with tik tok attention spans but for me it’s just becoming slop.

The storytelling potential was massive and I thought I was about to see one of the greatest shounen series’ ever, but the later part makes me kinda wish it started off more like a Baki type so I wasn’t disappointed and thrown off by the complete shift after a third of the story. It’s still cool, just not meaningful imo. We’ll never get anything like Hidden Inventory again.
