Toji and Mahito are both extremely powerful but also are on completely opposite sides of a spectrum Mahito is a curse formed from people and Toji is the only person free of curses. Putting them up against each other is fun and all but as I describe in the video it isn't a very fair fight for Mahito.

Toji is definitely the fastest and strongest character behind Maki. That said, the trade-off for this is that he has no cursed techniques, no black flash, no domain expansion/simple domain and I think the most important thing is that he lacks reverse cursed energy so he can't heal himself. Unless he can utterly overwhelm his opponent, he will lose a fair fight. He had huge prep time vs. unawakened Gojo, fully studied him, jumped him at his most exhausted, had the only weapon that counters his limitless and had even then he only managed to get in close enough to stab Gojo because he was too focused on protecting Amanai which gave him the opening he needed.

He's forced to hold back against yuji, he states himself that because it sukuna he can't transfigure yuji. Its why that 0.2 second domain was even used. As for the reshaping thing, wouldn't matter, Toji would still be quicker. Best case scenario for Mahito is that Toji has no Cursed tools, so mahito would just be surviving everything thrown at him until he's able to enter wear Toji down, or due to his rate of growth and learning, he'd eventually become a Special grade on the level of Gojo and Sukuna. Toji can't protect his soul with curse energy like everyone else, so for both of them if toji has soul split or inverted spear, it's a case of who hits who first. And toji has shown to be much quicker.

To debate the soul argument, Kenjaku(I think it's this same scene just one sentence later) did say that Mahito's perception of his soul can be unique to him as he can perceptive the soul as well, but he views it differently. I think their trying to hint that CT, CE, and soul reinforcement are something relative and the perception of it is unique to what the user "thinks" CE & the soul are. You can defend your soul with your perception of it, but the method will be in adjacent to how you perceptive the soul & body are.

First, regarding the Culling Game Incarnated Sorcerers, I think that they can harm Mahito due to taking over another's body and having their souls in conflict, but they also would lose if Mahito got his hands on them a couple of times (like what was stated with Todo), as they do not have the ability to intentionally attack/defend the soul, only doing so as a subconscious thing from the possession. They are not Sukuna and able to stop intrusions into their soul and attack back. And about Toji winning, I think that it fully depends on if he has the Soul Splitting Blade with him. Being able to see the soul means nothing if you cannot hit it, the Heavenly Restriction does not give the ability to hit/damage souls, only to perceive them, so without it, the battle is just one of attrition that Mahito would win due to not taking any meaningful damage and wearing Toji out.

Seeing the soul is what allows one to hit it, read the mahito vs itadori fight again, the reason he can damage mahitos soul is because he can see the contours of it. Toji blitzes him (this isnt debateable) and tears his head off split soul or not.

Nanami was still harmed by Mahito's technique, Nanami just was not completely transfigured because he instinctively protected his soul with curse energy. Soul split is a cursed tool that existed long before toji with the innate ability to target the soul, Toji himself has nothing to do with that. And due to having no Cursed energy, Toji also physically cannot perform anything that would actually damage mahito. The big decider in this match up are Toji's cursed tools and his speed. If toji didn't have Soul Split or Inverted Spear (the only 2 cursed tools that I can remember that would damage mahito) then toji would most likely lose simply due to time. Eventually with how quick Mahito was learning and growing, and the fact Toji isn't doing any damage to him, Mahito would eventually win. Nanami survived a hit from idle transfiguration by reinforcing his soul with cursed energy, Toji can't do that. And Mahito couldn't use it on Yuji because of Sukuna. Toji would be cooking the hell out of mahito, but eventually mahito will just grow stronger. Mahito is creative, unpredictable and a very clever opportunist, he'd learn so much from a fight like that, it would be scary. And yes, Idle transfiguration would work on Toji, since the reason some sorcerors can tank it is due to cursed energy reinforcement, Toji doesn't have this and idle transfiguration ignores physical durability since it targets the soul, Toji has no way of defending his soul.

had jogo arrived a second earlier when dagon was defeated , toji would have killed him and then propably even mahito , only to be stopped by kenjaku who would immediately use his open domain to win since he knows about toji's abilities.But by then toji would have already made shibuya into a bloodbath.
