I actually plopped in the same pool on my way down from Piers Gill and Scafell on a baking hot afternoon in August 2022. Great spot to revitalise.

Great idea to go for a wild swim on a day like that! Beautiful views of the surroundings! The whole walk is so scenic, could watch this for hours. So epic to see the jets too before your dip in the pools, they look so majestic! This was great thank you so much for sharing!

Not really, you just have to choose a warm day when it’s not half term and a weekday. I’d go after midday as well, give the sun time to come up over the valleys and shine on it. So much nicer in the sunshine👌

I think you might be able to get a bus from Ravenglass to Wasdale Head, but I’ve never done this myself so don’t quote me on it

Seascale is the nearest proper rail station. No bus service but you can get a taxi, £25 ish. Worth every penny!!

used to be crystal clear ! over 300 people there last weekend now its on KZbin/ place is now a shithole 🤦‍♂️
