That study is inconclusive and most of the people tested had underlying health problems. They also said the same thing about box hair colors. So until they have concrete proof I will continue to relax my hair.

@@NiaraAlexis we are unhealthy because we eat poorly. I travel the world and the American diet is an embarrassment and flat out the reason for the bulk of the issues. I was in Italy for 2 weeks and everyone smokes cigarettes all day but still have a longer life expectancy than Americans because they nourish their bodies properly everyday.

My mom has been using hair relaxers since before I was born up till this day..She just turned 70 in October and has never been diagnosed with cancer or any other health problems..

Ur input ab the cancer part is sooo true. I honestly read what I read and all of them basically said “maybe..” “we can’t say for sure”. Like ? Why would i stop based on that. Like stretch out your relaxers and call it a day. And also when I say everything is a problem- EVERYTHING. If anything it just motivates me to be healthier. Eat healthy, workout, do things to give your body a chance to fight against the chemicals and stuff that are going in it

I'm not relaxed anymore, but I agree. There are so many things that might cause cancer. Deodorants, foods, cleaning supplies, perfume, hot bottled water, the list just goes on.
