Chikondi Banda she used the Paul Mitchell shampoo and silicon mix Bambu conditioner she showed at the beginning of the video and the silk elements heat protectant spray. I think Janay uses the silk elements olive oil heat protectant spray if I’m not mistaken. Hope this helps love. 😊

I dont want to be a heat trained natural per se...but I do want to learn to master a blow out (just flat ironing the roots) and the products and techniques that I have learned watching you has allowed my blow outs to get better and better over time. High heat and heat protectant only is def a game changer for a blow out. I used to think it would be damaging, but when the only thing on the hair is water and something to make it dry faster, I feel like that is less damaging than a bunch of product and oil burning off the hair during blow drying. THANK YOU!

It’s heat damaged your hair should go back to its natural texture when wet if not it’s damaged not heat trained thats not a real thing

It's heat damaged sis. The only reason they think it's "trained" is because after a while, from the damage, it starts to get straight. Healthy hair reverts to it's natural state after washing. Please don't follow this method if you want to healthy hair.

I've had both heat damaged and heat trained. Heat damaged hair is really dry, dull, brittle and breaks easily. Heat trained is soft, strong, shiny, and straightened easily everytime. Heat trained is what you are looking at in Janay's videos. Hope this helps. ♥️

In my opinion as a professional also it’s the same it’s just called one or the other depending on the clients goals. If they want to wear their hair curly again and it won’t curl it’s heat damaged. If the client always wears it straight only it’s heat trained.

Im trying the natural straight thing. Lobe how my hair is looking so healthy. So I do see progress. But my hair continues to fall out/ break often than I want when combing. Yes I'm aware we loose a certain amount a day but this seems more than normal. To the point I've visited to Dr for labs to make sure everything is ok. All labs came back normal. I've always recalled when attemping the natural thing I would always revert back. For the same reason, my hair breaking so much. It's never has when I'm permed. My question is when does the breakage stop? I have tried protein treatments. Best I know Aghogee & my stylist has also tried her own.
