My current favorite combination is base gel: CurlMix (any of the gels from the regular wash and go kits.) Moisturizer: Shescentit Pomegranate and Pear Hair Milk Topper gel: Innersense I Create Hold. Good definition and longer lasting moisture.

That Innersense gel is sooo over-rated in my opinion. For 25$ a gel should be gelling.. We jump through hoops to get "Luxury" brands to work and I'm over it. Your Dollar Store Lusti Gel WnG came out better but this did look nice.
@NaturalRaeRae2 жыл бұрын
🤣🤣🤣you are so right! My Lusti gel is the "goat" for $1. I am only trying this over and over for the viewers. If I didn't have this channel to review products, I would've been done the 1st time. But I really want to give my thoughts on several ways that I've used it so I know there is no going back. Thanks for tuning in.

@@NaturalRaeRae Absolutely, I always tune in because we have the same texture (I knew this was going south because I already returned my gel LOL). But on a lighter note, thanks for putting me on to that 1$ gel because I copped about 10 of em lol

A hairstylist did my hair using only Innersense. The washing was fine but the styling products she used left my hair with a strong hold and dry. If you look at a video Innersense did for a Wash n go, they actually use 3 products: I create lift, Hold, Volume (something like that). The other may help counter the dry effect. If you do try again, I would use a leave-in and finish with a mousse. Thanks for the review.

Hey Rae, I'm sorry you did not like my combo. I do think that gel is a hit or miss. Yes, you do need a lot of moisture/water when using that gel. I don't think I will ever use that gel without a leave-in because I know it will be very dry. Thanks for sharing this video.
@NaturalRaeRae2 жыл бұрын
The first time I used it I used a lot of water and my hair was dry. Everyone said I shouldn't have added more water. This time, I didn't add more water and my hair was still dry. I did link your video in my description box in case anyone wanted to check out your video for reference. Thanks for tuning in.

RaeRae it looks so cute to me… the shape is cute. I think if you had stretched the side you added the water to a tiny bit more your shape would be great. With that being said I can relate. Even if my hair looks good .. if it’s not “feeling” good I’m not going to be pleased. Your hair does look so healthy, full and pretty though 🥰

Thanks Trish. If I would've kept stretching that side, it would have been even more frizzy and no definition and even more dry. It just wasn't doing it for me.😬 Thanks for tuning in.

Stylist seem to swear by these products and they do work for a lot of people, especially if you are new to good wash and gos. I've been doing wash and gos for years now and I have perfected the way I want mine to look and feel and the ICH does not give me the look and feel I want. It is not a bad product; it did define my hair, but I look for more than just definition. Thanks for sharing and for tuning in.

This gel hasn’t impressed me either. It also left my hair feeling dry. I’ve used the gel a few times and so far my favorite combo has been when I paired it with Pattern detangling nectar but I still didn’t like how my hair felt.

Thanks for sharing!! I don't have the nectar, but I've heard good things about it. I think I'm going to give it one more shot and then, I'm done with it. Again, I don't think it's bad, but it is just not what I'm looking for in a wash and go. Thanks for watching.

Ok. I Create Hold was not formulated to be used with a cream based stylers because it needs activate with the water molecules to allow the product to adhere and distribute properly. You are using way too much ICH due to the styler underneath it. Depending on the surface texture the hair, ICH has a tendency to foam. The webbing is due the temperature. If it is too cold, ICH will start to web. ICH is not for certain hair types. It is a botanical based gel that is formulated for curly hair. Your application, technique, product to water ratio and knowing your hair's essential elements makes a huge difference as to how this product will play in the hair. Also by implying Innersense created ICH for looser textures is equivalent to saying their company is not inclusive. I have proof that Innersense goes over and beyond to actively consult with Curly Specialist (BIPOC) to insure they are formulating high quality haircare products that benefit the hair long term and can be used on all hair textures including straight hair. 99.99% of the haircare industry is using and has been using platforms like yours and the natural hair movement to exploit and profit off curly hair without caring about what they are formulating. It is disheartening that the companies and verified Curl Specialists that are doing the hard work in trying to educate, uplift and dismantle these Capitalist industries get no flowers, but all of the disrespect. The Capitalistic industries get all of the flowers and all of the respect. This should not be happening in 2022. I digress on this subject. ICH doesn't claim to give you shiny hair. Your hair actually looked shinier before you broke the cast. ICH doesn't claim to give moisture nor can any styler from any company claim that. However, companies are not required by law to disclose this. Companies can market their stylers as moisturizing even though they can't formulate them to do that. (Similar marketing tactic as the relaxer girls on the box cover). Also, professional haircare products tend to reveal the true condition of the hair. ICH doesn't clump your curls, it captures the curls. Your application technique is considered shingling. The webbing is due to the temperature and application and technique.

Great explanation! Ive laerned to not say products dont work especially when its me not knowing how to use them. This product is excellent. It just requires lots and lots and lots of water and the steam from the shower helps as well. Some products just have a learning curve. Just like curly magic does. I had to learn how to use that. I had to get the water gel ratio down. From practice I've learned how to use i create hold. And once i got it, it has been smooth sailing. Expensive but a little goes a long way.

Yes, application is key with I Create Hold...and also UFD. I apply in the shower with the appropriate amount of water, and love how it foams in my hair, and it's easy to style and then jump under the dryer. I'll never go back to the application method of going thru my whole head small section by small section to apply gel. That's overwith....this method and products make everything so much easier. I credit it all to See Some Curls, my hair has never looked better. 🙌🏾
