I like this gel on top of custards because it helps not reactivate the custard when sweating a lot (exercising). Plus it does not flake. My 'analysis' is that salon brands like big hair, so the products will give you a big wash n go. If you do get something from that sale, the Oil Cleanser is great (sales out all the time) and I've heard great things of the DC triple threat. Thaks for the review 😊

Good to know about it not reactivating custards when exercising. I like a big wash and go, so that's not a deal breaker for me. I don't like my hair to look gray or feel really spongy, so if I can combat that then this gel isn't bad. I did like the fact that it didn't flake and kept pretty good definition throughout. I will think about the Oil Cleanser and DC. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and for tuning in.💛

That gel is a great topper gel. Last week I deep conditioned with Miche protein/moisture. I used THE Doux Refresh leave in, Mousse Def, and the Ouidad as the finisher. My hair was not soaking wet when I applied the products and as it was drying out I just applied the mousse and gel on top. That was n go lasted 11 days and it was very humid in Philly. I’ve used it alone and also used Knot Today and the gel. My results were enough to last a week. But I noticed deep conditioning and using that gel I get better results. And I have type 4 hair. I liked your day one results and also experienced your day 3 results with other gels. I guess because it’s a serum we are definitely going to get the volume. Great video ☺️

I’ve used the Ouidad on top Mousse Def when I wanted a quick and fluffy wash and go with a bit more hold. I think it works best on top of something that already has hold. You might try it on top of a cream with hold.

Thank you for demo-ing this product. I’ve been so curious about it ever since I heard that it reactivates curl with just plain water for an entire week. I think it’s pretty pricey, so Im happy and grateful to you for saving me from this purchase. Definitely would have been a fail on my type hair. This is such a great channel.

I have never been able to get any of Ouidad’s stylers to work on my type 4/a/b/c hair. Your hair didn’t look bad initially but I have seen it more defined and shinier than with this gel.

Rae I use this gel however I use foam and I use Ouidad as a topper and it works well. It is definitely not a hard hold but I think it does well for humidity. I also use a leave-in.

I have used this gel with leave in and it always did not come out too great. Finally did a deep conditioner then applied without leave in and it was great.

@@belindamobley3806 sometimes. It depends on if I have somewhere to be or not and how bad my hair feels. I usually wash day 4 or 5 at the max anyway because it cuts down on tangles and dryness. If I have to wash day 3 every now and again, it's no big deal to me. Hope that answers your question.

I have been experimenting with this gel and have concluded it will not give me the moisturized wash and go I'm looking for. I have used it as a topper gel on top of UFD Curly Magic. I have also used it as a primer gel underneath Kinky Curly. I have used it alone with the Ouidad Moisture Lock leave in and without the leave in. It makes my hair fluffy, which is nice on the first day but turns into an afro by Day 2. It also leaves a grey cast similar to what you experienced and I agree it doesn't help with humidity. If anyone in the comments have any suggestions, let us know! Thanks for the video Rae Rae!

Thanks for sharing your experience with the gel. I'm surprised you didn't like it with UFD or KinkyCurly. Most people can get things to work with those gels if they like those gels. I think I want to try it one more time with a Ouidad leave-in and see how that works, we'll see. Thanks for tuning in.

Your hair looks great and I love the volume. I have tried this gel alone and it was fantastic. I recently tried it with the Ouidad Botanical mousse and it’s more moisturizing. It worked really well.

By itself it looks amazing on the first day, but then it gets frizzy on the next day. Im tempted to try it as a daily wash and go gel If i can get away with using a tiny amount everyday. I prefer the slip on the original, but it doesnt make my coils form like the advanced.

It's probably really good for a daily wash and go. If I had a twa, I may be more inclined to use it that way. It's not a bad gel at all.

I remember trying that gel when it first came out. It left my hair dry and frizzy. I tried it all over and as a topper. I did use it with a leave-in, but I don't remember what leave-in. I feel the Aveda Gelee works much better. If you try it, wait for a sale and start with the travel size.

I have to say the 1st time I used this gel I didn’t like it. I used it as is with no leave in & on really wet hair- it was a failed. So the 2nd time I used it I definitely wanted to try it with a leave in- I used curlsmith moisture memory reactivator (which is light spray leave in) with this gel. I also used it on damp hair & a lot more gel as well. I loved it. It does get “foaming” which I didn’t mind.

I had the trial size kit and took it on vacay to st lucia cuz it would pass the liquid rules of the TSA. I got a GORGEOUS puff. Enjoyed the line, including the cleansing oil as shampoo, but it's pricey. And i wasn't caring as much about d❤efinition cuz i was gonna be in and outta the water on vacay! 😂🤷🏾‍♀️

I use Ouidad i like a medium to soft hold for some reson I do not like for my hair to be hard. I like soft to the touch. I love the shine and bounce I get from the Ouidad Gel. Yes by the 3rd or 4th day I have to redo my hair again. Which is ok because my coily hair separates very easily, so I dont spend as much time on my wash and Go. I love the product my self. because I have coily hair on the 3rd or 4th day I have to redo my hair with most hair gels that I use. if you know a gel that hold coily hair longer than that . let me know. I repurchased this gel because i love the shine and it reduce frizz... I love it. I used it alone with I.D. COILS moisterizer only , no leave in. Maybe one day I will try a leave in. Ouidad is my go to so far.

I love your hair, my goal it to grow out my hair. my hair is short and coily but cute. I love it. ... Question?:. do you trim your own hair or do you have a professional do it? Do you use bond repairs on your hair?. I had to start using them on my hair because I have fine thin coily hair that tangles easily. because of the bonding treatments I have less tangles and less hair in my comb. sometimes hardly no hair. Do you use protein treatments if so what brand do you use? . And of course we must eat healthy in order to have healthy hair. I love your hair, I follow you because your techniques are very helpful for a person like me that does their own hair. I'm very spiritual. I can not have anybody putting their hands in my hair. Thank you! Right now, I trim my own hair; I haven't found a stylist I love yet. I do not use bond repairs on my hair. I use protein when needed and I usually use Pattern Treatment Mask or something of that sort. I do not use aphogee. Hope this answers your questions.

I have tried this gel with and without leave-in and as a topper over a humectant-heavy gel. On wet and damp hair. and in all cases i ended up with a frizz ball on day 2. And it does nothing against the humidity 😂. I will not repurchase it. I have seen some youtubers using it over mousse def and commenting that the combo holds up against humidity but i haven't tried it myself.

I have tried this a few times, using the heat and humidity styling cream along with it... unfortunately this product did not live up to my expectations, not an epic fail, however, does not deliver on frizz control, hold, and it made my hair feel a bit too dry for my liking...
