Fantastic job heather I just have one thing that I think would make the process a bit more effective and make less work for you scrubbing the wheels...on a dry wheel apply Meguiars ultimate all wheel cleaner thoroughly, then apply green star 5:1 to the fender liners & tires(dry as well) then allow to dwell for 30 seconds then high-pressure rinse before going in with your soapy brushes. I used to pre-rinse before applying the product like you did in this video and I’ve found that on the wheels & tires I have to do quite a bit less scrubbing to get the wheels clean and they come cleaner! Give it a shot & let me know what you think. Just my opinion. Lol
@AutoCareHQ2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Alex! I'll definitely give that a go cheers!

@@AutoCareHQ no problem! Just let me know if it works for you. If not no big deal it’s so satisfying to rinse all that purple & brown off to me before even touching it! To me it’s perfect because those two chemicals are so safe that as long as you use on a cool surface their not gonna damage anything! Would even be more effective & allow for more dwell time if u snow foamed garage therapy wheel shampoo over top! Then let dwell & rinse! Before agitating of course lol

Hi heather great vid , keep it up. I have to disagree regarding garage therapy snow foam. I normally always use BH autofoam because it simply is the best for cleaning ability in my opinion but was talked into trying gt snow foam. Over hyped waste of money. I tested it alongside BH af on a dirty white Merc and afterwards wiped areas with a cotton pad . Autofoam side almost clean the GT side filthy and hardly removed any of the dirt film. I may do another test one side plain water and the other side GT , I guarantee it would probably be a draw or close to it. Maybe I received a faulty bottle and GT forgot to put any detergent in but I doubt it. GT foams more than BH but I definitely choose cleaning power over prettiness. Just my honest opinion. Regards
@AutoCareHQ2 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much! That's really gutting that you've had no success with the GT foam. I've actually heard quite mixed things about it but it's always done the trick for me. I known that it's a thing with other snow foams as well where for some they work fine and others they do absolutely nothing and I can't figure out why there's so much inconsistency! I get that there are different types of traffic film etc. and the protection on the car will play a big role too but it is odd that the results are so varied
@max_powers112 жыл бұрын
@@AutoCareHQ maybe the water board put more surfactants in the water up there in the north than here in the deep South 😁. Honestly heather I could put GT foam up against shaving foam and it would lose I'm sure. I even tried doubling the ratio in my mjjc foam canon and left it to dwell longer but no difference. It's in the bin now it seems happy there 🙂 take care

For wheels like that i use a strong acid undiluted, just a cheap gallon of the blue trade stuff and a sniffer brush, that always tears through brake dust like that, then roll the car back to get the upside down part of the wheel, that acid product you were using didn’t look strong enough to me. I’ve never affected any of that corrosion by doing that, if anything it makes it look better and will even remove rust spots on steel van wheels!
