Washing Dishes Using the Long Cycle on the Capsule Dishwasher

As requested, here's the long dish washing cycle on the Capsule countertop dishwasher. It did trip a 20 amp breaker but I expect that's a result of running it outdoors on a long extension cord. I also realized the long cycle requires about six quarts of water and neither water tank is large enough to handle this without attention. If you're going to use the tanks, keep an eye on it but it does a great job washing dishes. Enjoy.

When the breaker tripped and you restarted the machine it went back to zero, which is why you needed to refill the fresh water tank and empty the drain water because you were, essentially, starting all over again. That’s how digital appliances work. Except for some aquarium and reptile environment controls, most digital appliances do not remember where they are in a setting. They often remember the last STARTING setting and require that you push the start button again.

Thanks for the insight. That makes a lot of sense.

Thanks for the comment. I’d say it’s equal in amplitude to a typical under counter dish washer I’ve been around in multiple homes. I expect it seems louder on the video because it’s on a metal table, in the metal drum that is the bus and the camera was a foot away from it.

Thanks for this! We're thinking of getting one for our off-grid setup. How does it perform on the shorter settings? I'd love to know what the maximum draw is if you've checked it out. Looks like the heater uses about 800-900W? Thank you :)

Thanks for the comment. I just ran a test on the Eco Mode cycle. It runs for two hours snd 24 minutes. The max power draw with the heater on was around 850 watts and it used about 225 WH of electricity to complete the cycle. The 15 minute standard wash cycle ran the heater almost the whole time and used 195 WH of electricity to complete a cycle. I built a video about it. It should be uploaded before tomorrow if you’d like to see more.

Interesting. I got one of these through Kickstarter and I've never had a problem with the drain tank being able to hold all the water. 7:18 You can feel the fan blowing out when it dries out the top right vent. I'm curious to know how much power it draws in the eco mode.

Thanks for the comment. I’ll unpack mine and test the power consumption on eco mode soon. I’m curious about that too.

Can i use my 3000w power inverter for the power source to run the machine ????

I’d say yes; absolutely. Mine drew a maximum Lexi than 600 watts.

@@overthenexthorizon8271 It's too bad they aren't available here now. They use less water and have some other features unavailable on anything over here. Some of the brands like Comfee are coming out with models that are trying to copy the Bob's features, but haven't gotten there yet The Confee 6L [Bob uses 3L, half as much water] has a pop-open door, and a UV light like the latest Bob model, but only while you're washing, not available as a separate dry "cycle" I don't know how much those modern features are worth, but the Bob seems more efficient. Again, I wish it was available here so people could test them side by side

Thanks for the question. The metal plate is 9 1/2” in diameter and the white ones are 10” diameter.

So what i don’t understand is: instead of draining into the container can I drained into the sink? Also can I use liquid soap for dishwashers? Does the capsule machine heats up the water when washing? And least but not last does it consume to much electricity? Do u really like it, it does the job?

Thanks for the questions. First, yes; it comes with a longer drain hose that allows you to drain directly into the sink. I’ve just been using the tank so I can check the amount of waste water it produces. You can use any soap that would normally go in a dishwasher. You just apply a small quantity to the inside of the door and it will mix into a cycle. As for power usage, it draws around 245 watt hours for a cycle. That should be similar to a slow cooker for one meal or an electric kettle heating up. It does heat the water when it runs so you don’t have to give it hot water to start. I do like it. It’s small but it does a good job cleaning. It probably would hold between one meal and one day worth of dishes depending on what you use and how many people you were feeding. I saw a comment about the UV light failing on someone else’s who used it much more than I have. It sounded like the company sent a repair part but it had to be installed. Overall, I think it’s a good choice for small loads or a place with limited room. I probably wouldn’t rely on it for a family though; at least not for every day use. I expect future versions of this will likely improve the long term stability of the product as it becomes possible to do more long term testing. Again, thanks for the comment.
