Washing machine blows fuses / trips RCD circuit breaker

Here is a HOTPOINT AQUARIUS BHWD 149 INTEGRATED WASHER DRYER - washing machine. It tripped the RCD/ELCB circuit breaker on my homes consumer unit. I diagnosed the fault to the Heating Element, swapped it out with a new one and that was that all done. I traced the fault to the Heating Element and replaced with the new one was the only solution.

My washing machine (Indesit IWDE 126) started tripping the circuit board RCD each time it starts a cycle. I tested other cycles and concluded that it runs cycles that do not require heating water. Is it a safe guess that I just need to replace the Heating Element? Is that something one can do with not a lot of knowledge of electrics or is it a hard job? Thanks!

Help! Tried to take it out but my kistake was I unscrew the knot till the end so when I was teying to remove it the rubber and the cover was seperated. What should I do? Thanks

That is not a problem. Just put them back, the way they were together. When you screw them back, it will water sealed. Make sure it screw is fully tight.
