Emmy nominated actor Peter Coffield tragically died of AIDS in 1983 at the age of 38. He'd just finished a TV movie that same year called "O'Malley" which was to launch his upcoming new TV series. He tragically died a few months later after finishing the movie pilot. A great talent we lost way too soon.

Cliff Robertson and Robert Vaughan were particularly brilliant in this, as was Jason Robards. To be honest, some of the younger cast members were a little bit boring, but it was a brilliant series at times - especially when it exposed the breathtaking hypocrisy and guile of people like Kissinger, Helms, Hoover, LBJ and Nixon himself.

Robert Vaughn, in one of his final interviews, said this mini-series, and the role he played, was one of the best things he ever did (in his personal Top 3.)

...And, Oh, God: LARA PARKER, too??? Gracious, where do these people hang-out, anyway? Refreshing to see them in such relatively staid acting roles, as opposed to the over-the-top situations their varied characters performed in Dark Shadows! Now, are we to see Johnathan frid pop-out of the office as some "Perry White"-type budog of an executive manager?

Wow, Meg Foster ("The Scarlet Letter", and "Night "Gallery", David Selby of "Dark Shadows". You couldn't ask for a better combo for a "Grade B" TV-movie!
