How long is the pass? can you do it in a day? I'm thinking of coming up next month with a group from Oregon. Do you know if you can camp on the trail?

The pass can be completed in under a day. There are many camping options along the trail (I'm 99% sure it's legal as long as you're far enough from traffic). I never camped near the trail itself, I prefer spots at the end (east side) of the trail. This is a good option: www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/okawen/recarea/?recid=58361 (but there are many more near it).
