Between Kendall being "the greatest knight" and the waterbreak halfway through the duel I was reminded of George RR Martin's description of the duel between Ser Arthur Dayne (the greatest knight in his story, killed by Ned Stark years before the story begins) and The Smiling Knight of the Kingswood Brotherhood which featured a break so that the Smiling Knight could fetch a new sword after Dawn (Dayne's valyrian steel blade) had ruined the Smiling Knight's sword. Kids got a future as a writer.
