This is my entertainment after spending the day killing yellow jackets at the farm railroad (7.5" gauge) a few miles away. These are paper nest wasps, not Yellow Jackets. Either way, they will sting multiple times if provoked. This really did "provoke" them... The honey bees in the area will breathe a bit easier after this kill-off. The ants on the ground ate well for weeks... maybe they'll STAY OUT OF MY HOUSE for a while!

They are so aggressive, they get pissed off and attack what can kill them. I love it, and I hate them.

Yellow Jackets seem to be the assholes of the wasp world... (ground dwellers, usually). There were European Papernest wasps (there are many species - I don't know which one - doesn't matter - they're dead!). Be careful around all of them.

This is satisfying as hell to watch them fry. I hate things that sting unprovoked.

My dad lowered one of these lights under our porch in the 90s. Killed the whole colony over a few hours. Smelled like burning hair. The buzz of the wasps was hypnotic, they would surround the light and attack it one or more at a time. I have continued to advertise this as the safest and best method for wasp removal.

Nice Work! nothing gives me more satisfaction to watch those things try to take on an electric zapper. After 3 attacks by yellow jackets I decided to build my own larger bug zapping cage and it works very well. Soon I shall test it near one of there nests and then sit back and watch the fireworks =D nice video

If I may make a humble suggestion for the future, if you can disable the light then it may be a good idea to do so. Apparently there have been accounts where zappers have caused the remainder of the nest to decide that electric lights are threats.

I use this recently. The Flowtron 1.5 acres. The 1st day, it kills many pesky insects. 2nd day, it kills whatever is left. The one I hate are the mosquitoes and they are a nuisance. My wife wants bamboo and I highly do not recommend it as it is where mosquitoes lived. That's why I got the Flowtron. Now, I am free of mosquitoes. Leave it on from 7 pm to sunrise for 2 days best result. Make sure it's not raining and leave it far away from home. Also get an extension cord as Flowtron drawback is a short cord.

Yup - that's Oregon. Ground dwellers are usually yellow jackets, Above ground are often European Paper Nest wasps. They ALL have a queen. And that is where this video was made - in the Willamette Valley.

Very similar. Yellow jackets are ground dwellers. Paper nest wasps build in buildings, trees, etc. (like these).
