Wonderful. Already succeded with a sx-130 , gave me thousands of prints. Just had to let it go because of a paper tray mechanical mess (becauss of a thick Matte paper!) Now its xp600's turn, already boughtnthe new potty

Yes. Replacing the pad is not detected by the printer so you do need to reset the waste ink counter. A key is needed for using the WICReset app to do that.

Would this work with a XP970

The XP-970 has a user replaceable waste ink pad holder with a chip, called a maintenance box so technically an external tank isn’t needed but we’re looking at creating units (and instructions) for printers like yours. The trick is getting hold of an XP970 to fix one too.
