@@doksoo6856I really agree with you. Communication is really a huge key to a healthy relationship. Only if they talked about it. I love them so much! Sanemi is a really great badass character too and he really fulfilled his role as a Hashira. He cares for his brother to the point he doesn't want Genya to become a demon slayer so he can have a normal life instead. His family story is just emotional and the only thing he can do is become tough and get stronger to conquer his fears of losing his loved ones. He's not the type to freely express his feelings but he totally cares about the wellbeing of his companions.

i just have to say this rn, i’ve unironically watched this animatic at least 20 times if not more. it’s one of my favorite videos on the internet, ever, literally 0 exaggeration there. i’ve sent this to at least seven of my friends, i’ve downloaded it and deleted it again, come back to the original video. sometimes i think about this very randomly like ‘wow it’s been a while since i watched the shinazugawa brothers animatic’. the way your portray the relationship between genya and sanemi, the way they grow apart and find together again, the way they spend the time they’re divided discovering themselves and becoming someone is so haunting in a beautiful way. i especially can’t stop thinking about the part of sanemi with all the pillars (especially giyuu, kanae and rengoku) and genya with gyomei and inosuke. i literally can’t describe what emotions those parts ALWAYS awaken in me, especially considering their fates in the story. it never fails to make me wonder - what could’ve been? what relationships could’ve developed? what potential are we missing out on? it’s insane how well you managed to capture the entire relationship between everyone in just a single picture. i don’t even know where i’m going with this, just wanted to say this is a literal, actual work of art that always leaves me speechless.

​@@nuui2houThat's because you read the correct version. Nemi is a poor fanmade translation that doesn't exist. Genya actually only calls Sanemi his "big brother" in the Japanese raws. He calls him "Aniki" which is what we seem him use all the time in the manga and "Nii-chan" is what he used when he was little. Both mean older brother but "Aniki" is a more respective and formal way of saying it and "Nii-chan" is a more affectionate way which is why Genya switches back to Nii-chan right before he dies cause that's what he used to call him as well.

These two boys have been through so much, Sanemi quickly became a huge comfort character for me and so did Genya. Their story hits home for me and it broke me, they both deserved so much more and how their story ended is devastating. This animation is beautiful! It’s broken me but it’s beautifully sad, that hug at the end I can’t even put into words how it got to me

I LOVE your art style! Your animatic is brilliant, especially the parts that show Genya and Sanemi making friends with the other Demon Corp members because it shows how their kindness and were able to make meaningful connections with others but it was still hard for them to bridge that gap with each other and your animatic is just so beautiful and well thought out 😭

honestly sanemi is my favorite, his character design is so badass but his backstory and growth are just so good. and that scene killed me. i also feel like me and my sister are kinda like him and genya because we don't get along and don't ever talk, but if something happened to her right now i would lose my mind and would feel so bad because we never got a chance to reconnect :(
