Thanks. I have since changed the way I carry the hose, mounted a storage box under the trailer now - www.loveyourrv.com/ultimate-rv-sewer-system-modification/ Works great as I don't have to disconnect it anymore, so makes dumping very quick and efficient :) www.loveyourrv.com/quick-rv-waste-tank-dump/ Cheers, Ray

Good work, sir. A good solution to the problem of the non-removable end piece. Happy Camping!

Great tip Ray. I may try that on our new Micro-Lite. I have some stainless steel city sign straps and the installation tool and will likely substitute that for the hose clamps. Thanks , Mike
@LoveYourRV9 жыл бұрын
So far it's worked great. I did add a steel spring in place of the rubber elastics, they will degrade over time with sun exposure a reader pointed out. Should be much better with those stainless straps!

+Love Your RV I love your ideas and I just happened to have the straps so I may try this! Thanks , Mike

Nice job Ray, I think I'd add a wire tether to the stretchy cord you have on the biner clip. UV will eventually rot out the stretch cord and your $$$ hose will go bye bye some where out in the middle of no where. The PVC pipe carriers work well. I'd like to find some 8-12 inch pipe, but have struck out. 6 inch is the largest I've found at the Hardware outlets. Plumbers strap works great to attach pipe like that. Your doubled up hose clamps look like they will last a long time. Great job.

NWHiker Good point. maybe I should look at using a steel spring instead. Thanks.

Now that you have had your hose for awhile have you had any leaks? And how did you repair them?
@LoveYourRV2 жыл бұрын
No leaks so far. Have been using the same Waste Master hose as a full time RVer since June 2015. Here is some recent footage using it to dump my new sewer tote kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3m5gqB6rciXpZo Cheers, Ray

That's a very elegant Idea with the cutout and locking caribiner. You may want to patent that idea before the big guys wind of it.

It must be nice some folks are perfect spellers, lol... Love how you designed the hose carrier! Good video as always! I like the hose design, but still a bit pricy. In Washington we don’t yet have the regulations like some States or Countries, so I will stick with the old system for the time being. I ran in to a problem last time I dumped, there system plugged up. I had to move to the main system, and I didn’t have an extension for my hose, so I had to barrow one they had. I connected both and theirs had several holes in the hose, I got hit with waste water, thank god it was the gray water at that point. Thanks!

i would paint the end black so some thing dos not see it or take it if you go to any place that seals kayaks they have some straps that can be installed to help hold it in and look stock like its made to be there

Love Your RV Instead of using the radiator clamps to secure your pipe to the bumper, I would use stainless steel banding with the locking buckles. The bands are about same size but the buckles fold the banding upon itself to lock it place. There is a special tool that is used to tighten the band and start the initial bend into the buckle and cutting the banding to length, but using vicegrips and tinsnips will do the job. The screw clamps do have the history of breaking and/or tearing the threading of the strap.
@LoveYourRV9 жыл бұрын
Bri Du Thanks, stainless is a good idea. Will have to check the local marine parts stores, lots of salt water here. I bet they have stuff like that for lashing things down on the boats.

Love Your RV McMaster-Carr cata;og number 5358K12 for 1/2 inch banding - 25 feet 304 stainless, 4582K25 for 1/2 inch clip style buckles. Quantities may be more than you want, but this banding is very useful in other applications.

Terrible of me saying, but what about theft, are you going to lock it?
@LoveYourRV9 жыл бұрын
Tom Jordan Never occurred to me someone would steal a sewer hose, hmm... Guess it would be easy to throw a lock on, make it a little harder on them.
@cowboyup5456 жыл бұрын
Some folks will steal anything. I came out of Wal Mart and low and behold there's some punk trying to steal my receiver hitch off my truck. Its good that I had a REESE LOCK on the receiver. When I hollered at the guy the Dip S#$% ran straight to his truck to late though wife filmed it and his getaway truck with tag. LOL. Don't know what happened in the end we gave the police the info and She the police watched the video and got make model and tag number from us. Hope they caught the BUM.

There are little plastic ones but since the inside is so smooth you don't get any debris stuck in it. I've since changed the storage design so now I never have to disconnect - www.loveyourrv.com/ultimate-rv-sewer-system-modification/
