If you use a vinyl rain gutter as a glide inside your 5 inch vinyl post your hoses can just lay on top of it and slide the whole thing inside... when you take them out then you can also use it to keep your hose straight going from your RV to the dump site.

You can order that vinyl fence post material online in black. FYI - maybe just wear a stocking cap for padding (my plumber does this when working in crawlspaces)

Thanks for the great video. I built one similar to the one you showed; I mounted it on the back bumper of my super C. The only issue that I ran into was that the fencepost caps were super tight fitting and were difficult to remove (by design as they are only supposed to go on once). My solution was to take a belt sander and remove some of the material from the fence post in the first inch; witht a little bit of patience I was able to get a fit that was snug, but not too tight. I also drilled 3, 3/4" drain holes in the bottom of the post and added a small gate handle and retention chain to the lid. Again, thanks for the inspiration video.

Thanks Greg, the lids i got for my fence post slip on and off easily, im thinking of making a 3d printed cap that has a really quick way to lock on. Larry

You never get hurt. lol That is a pretty cool setup. I can think of many things even beyond sewer lines that you might could store in there. We all know more storage of any kind is great on a RV. No hamlet I want to see where this leads. Man you are super crafty. You and my wife will get along well. She is good with stuff like that. Thanks for the share y'all. I think I saw the same video as you. Mine looks almost exactly like yours. The only thing I did differently was I painted my post black beforehand. I also screwed the opposite cap shut on the camp side. I like your hitch pin much better. Mine is a threaded rod with a wing nut that's kind of a PITA. I couldn't find a pre-made hitch pin long enough. Kudos for fabricating your own.

That is clever and bigger. Originally I was thinking glueing one cap, but saw that you made it basically as wide as trailer so access from both sides might be useful. I've also seen one smaller storage bay with a basket that has all the sewer stuff including the black tank flush hose and the gloves. It's all that lives in it, that way it doesn't stink anything else. They use a magic hose that is a different color than the drinking water hose.

If you get a 4" vinyl eavestrough/rain gutter the same length as the fence post, slide it in first and now you have a pullout drawer for the stinky slinky. As an added bonus, the eavestrough can be pulled out and used as a sewer hose support while you are parked and set up. It may be better going up to a 6" post and a 5" eavestrough so the fittings fit in better. I'd love to take credit for the idea, but I can't I saw it online somewhere else.

I wear a hat all the time... I don’t want to damage my pretty bald head 😇

There are "PINK" jobs and "BLUE jobs.....the men handle the Blue jobs and women the Pink jobs. Anything to do with "POOP" falls in the category of a BLUE job. So obviously I agree with your wife because I to have never touched that poop hose lol

Alice PM me your mailing address. I am going to send Larry a cool brain protector. You guys need to plan a trip up here so Larry can help Cris with some projects, including that poop hose holder :). As soon as we get into the house we will have space for driveway surfing!! Love and miss you guys.

Deb, hi. You are so funny. We would love to go Up there and moochdock. Larry and Chris could do loads of DIYs. We miss you guys too. Take care. Alice

Something just occurred to me in regards to going “…anywhere near the black tank…”! When young couples have babies in diapers, moms are troopers when it comes to changing dirty diapers, while dads are usually, “Ahh, hell nah!” Lol! (Well, not my hubby, he did a good job and no gagging.) Enter the empty nesters and retirees, and most couples I see, it’s the guy doing the black tank stuff. 🤭🫣 So guys, what goes ‘round…

😆 Yes. I did the majority of diaper duty. But Larry was always willing to help. It is funny how the chores are divided. I do most of the dog care then and now
