These work on WVO, Motor Oil, ATF and other Waste Oils That need to be cleaned. These open bowl centrifuges are good for polishing biodiesel, but will not take the place of a wash.

Best setup I have seen yet. Alot of the other vids are either hokie with a couple of cans or maxed out nuclear, yours is right in the middle. Looks very functional and simple; no discouraging wtf is that? I like the remove the fuse part. The mild CA climate helps too. Nice setup!

Thank You very much for the details on how to filter and your own set up, it is very nice and simple. I do however want to ask if you or anyone else has ever considered a slight modification to the 1st stage, From your Big blue drum you pump the oil up to the 2 grey drums at the very top, would it not work to also have the plumb feed to filters a little higher above the base for even more Oil settlement.

How long did your pump last without a fuse, and how often do you have to change filters?

Not sure I'm convinced this gets out all the water in suspension- due to the heat, fryer oil traps water molecules in a way that's different than if you just had oil that got mixed with water, known as 'free' water (condensation, for example). If you don't get rid of that water, it will ruin an expensive injection pump. All diesel engines have filtering and/or water traps which will keep out free water. Diesel fuel does NOT have suspended water in it, but WVO can. That trapped water can cause cavitation, and thus damage to IP. This (Jason system) would be fine for heating oil, or older diesels with out the high tech IPs. Otherwise a hot pan test would be a good idea.

Nice video. Lot's of good information. I've found that CIMTEK filters from JME work well and can be a quarter of the cost. How often are you changing your filters? How often or do you ever drain that tote? Eventually it will fill up with bad oil or water.

You could clean that cooking oil so much faster wit's faster with one of those cooking oil filtration systems that the restaurants used to filter their oil and refill to it for extended use And you can heat the oil up to at least 200ﾟ is recommended Fahrenheit And then there's a pump that forces it through the filter and it can do 6 gallons per minute usually And they're micron filters or half micron

Cold filtering is better as it stops the goo, if you heat it, it becomes liquid and it will pass through filters

What kind of wvo system do you have on your vehicle? also, is 10 micron enough to get all the particles out? Do most of the particles and water stay at the bottom of the tanks? do you run test every so often to check for purity?

Those are tank adapters from a specialty supply. Farm and tractor chains have them, local plumbing shops also. Online, search for barrel or tank adapter.

Chase Flanigan WVO Cubies hold ~4.5 gallons, 35lbs of oil. Settling(gravity and time) removes most water, and centrifuges and/or filters will remove the rest.

urgentcareguy3 That's the Donaldson P555823. I later found out that model doesn't have a water block, so now I recommend the Donaldson P551000. They're only about $13 each online, 10 Micron Absolute, water block.I eventually upgraded to a wvo centrifuge: www.filteroilcentrifuge.com/oil-centrifuge-products/

You can use wvo for home heating oil. Sometimes the nozzles on your furnace need to be upgraded.
