I am a therapist in Canada working specifically in addictions. I just wanted to say that if you want that normal beautiful life, you can achieve it. That internal motivation is pivotal to healing. Please do not be afraid of trying and then "failing." There is no failure, there is only sober time under your belt, where you can learn to how to feel alive again. There may be lapses/relapses in addiction- that is often the nature of this condition. However, even if there is a lapse in your sobriety- it does not erase what you have learned and how far you have come. Donna, I believe in you, take the chance and try. You owe it to yourself. xx

I love the way you've been titling the videos lately, a meaningful phrase instead of "Heroin Addict" or "Crack Prostitute. Im sure the interviewees prefer it also. It's gotta be a little embarrassing to have one of those labels posted under your face. This way maintains some dignity and is pretty like a poem.

Honestly I'm very wary of these sorts of channels. I worry that it's further exploiting the homeless/ addicted by essentially monetizing misery on KZbin. BUT I've watched a few of these now and I'm convinced that this guy is genuinely doing this to try and help people. He goes back and gives them things they need and provides links for subscribers to help them directly sometimes. Also he's very respectful toward these people and talks to them as fellow human beings

They say how sweet you are and that you’re a really caring person. Reach out and get the help, fight to break free of this terrible addiction. @@casashaa Same here. It could have been me too. I was really far out there. I was addicted to opiates too. It just got worse and worse. I finally went cold Turkey at home alone. I almost died but I finally started feeling better after the first week of detoxing. I hate those drugs so badly now. I don’t ever want to be in that situation again. It was horrible. I was gang raped and they almost killed me. I had to move away to keep the gang from coming after me again.

@@casashaa I was on opioids for years and when the doctor stopped taking my insurance I didn't go to heroin. Yes, I was on 2 very strong meds but never did I go to heroin. I went through hell for a couple of weeks and that was it. I know the hell of withdraws so I do understand that it's almost impossible to endure but it can be done if you can withstand the torture of it. Every single minute is hell when you're in withdraw, that's how I would put it.

In the interviews with him she's all done up hair done makeup done she looked nice. I just spent past year and a half with my Mom until she passed at home from cancer..It was hard but stil rewarding that we were together and I was there to help her until her last breath.She helped me my entire life, never turned her back on me ever. What a lovely lady, The way Donna knows what she wants but is almost afraid of trying to pursue the path to being sober in case she fails or the person she becomes at the end of it is below her expectations is heart breaking her constant lack of eye contact whilst being interviewed shows her lack of self confidence and her frustration as she admits to finding herself in the circumstances she is in. like the interviewer said Don't be ashamed. DONNA you are a very Attractive woman please don't wait for a disaster. It physically pains me to watch and listen to this not because of how she lives (I had 6 years clean&sober last month) but because she could be my mama my mom is in her 50’s and dying in a nursing home from advance Alzheimer’s and picks disease she reminds me of her this woman is so beautiful and distinguished and intelligent I’ve physically been in those depths and it’s hell you have to find a way to stay clean whether it’s a program and meetings or Suboxone or something like that Donna your such a beautiful woman and deserve so much better you deserve a husband who will respect you and put you on a pedestal I wish I was close to you I would help in any way I could but since I’m in the south I hope that maybe one day you will read this and know your true worth and what you are capable of not only know it but do it I’m praying for you and I hope so badly that you will get clean and show your mom that true side of you before she passes all of my love♥️

Donna, I totally get you. I'm 52 now but I was 49 when the love of my life died of a fentynal overdose leaving me all alone in my addiction. Thank Gid I still had a mother too, and I went to live with her for a while and got on suboxone. It doesnt take away the remembrance of getting high but the subs definately keep me from being sick and so I could stop that roller coaster of up and down. Please get to the clinic and go back to your interior design . As she gets older your mom will begin to need you. That's what happened to me. Two years after I got in subs my mom came down with an illness so that she needs me to do all her running around and she needs me to be the stronger one with my shit together and nit taking chances with my life every day. I think thats a reason to get clean.....to take care of the one who has been there for you all this time. You are not too old to find love either......you have time to still live a full life if you do a 180 right now.
