There's just something about Watame that attracts these kind of wholesome superchats. My all time favorite is when Watame was reading a superchat of a father with the words of his 5 year old daughter and Watame trying to interact with that little girl. My second favorite would be that bittersweet superchat about a person with terrible short term memory and how they said that Watame's merch would serve as a memory capsule for them. I love the different clips of holomembers being funny and having fun, but what really made me stay in this rabbit hole are these wholesome moments.

Same. At first I got drawn by the memes and funny clips, but I got hooked in by their wholesomeness as I got to know them. Watame just has this comforting and pleasant aura around her. She bares her heart on her wrist and it just makes her feel more genuine and someone that you can confide in too. This makes me remember that one comment someone had on that Subaru and Sora clip where they talk about the difference between their chats/comments and how they kinda reflect the streamer.

While not at that degree i also was saved by Hololive, after losing my job and career because of a stupid mistake i was deep in dark thoughts, depressed and anxious at nights i would watch videos in bed until falling sleep to prevent the bad thoughts (first time in my life, usually i always slept without my phone in bed) until some clips got recommended; It was not much but it kept my mind busy and helped me through. A year has passed and i don't know where i would have been if not for this group of lovable dorks.

I was in the similar situation last year. Thanks to the pandemic I was forced to resign from my job. Job hunting in the middle of pandemic is 100x worse than in the normal situation and I had a fight with my parents. Coupled with the quarantine, my mental health deteriorated and I suffer severe anxiety. But then I found Hololive clip (Kanatan's in my case) and then suddenly lots of clips were recommended. From there on, I was always happy watching Hololive and their clips and I was able to sort out myself again. Those girls do bring happiness and I was forever grateful. Honestly, the mental damage back then was so severe that I still have an episode, but knowing that I still have my hololive girls to make me smile really alleviate the stress.

I firmly believe that as for both better or for worse: The smallest of events can have a big impact in the long run - in one form or another. We all are somehow connected and influence eachother in so many ways... What may seem unimportant or nothing but a gesture can trigger so much... I only hope that the positive overweighs in the end.

I'm glad she is so warm, and I've said it once but I'll say it again, I hoped that while she cares about people she doesn't overburden herself with these harrowing stories and project too hard or stress herself out by trying too hard to please. But I seem to have worried for nothing, as she seemed to be able to see how wide the world is, and how people can be in a dark place as she was, but can pick themselves up with support on day. That is why I can't really ever give up on humanity, when I see so many reminders of people like Watame that seem to care genuinely that people in pain can make it through that dark patch.

I have a feeling Watame also went through some kind of crippling depression, and maybe even suicidal thoughts at some point in her life (Or it happened to a family member). She does actually have that kind of point in her life. Iirc she was reading a SC from a fan that have suicidal thoughts and got also saved by watching watames stream, after reading the SC she shared her "similar" story that when shes small she made her grandma mad by saying "why have i been born?" "I dont want to be born" (or something along those line). That line for me is a suicidal thoughts for a kid. If you dig deeper in her background story, she does have a sad childhood. PS. Story stated above is from my memory so if I got anything wrong pls do correct me ty

@@HudaefCares Yup, at least Sayuri raised PPT, even if poorly and distant. She was a mother, not a mommy. Watame never had a father, she had a sperm contributor. She was raised and nurtured by her granny and mom. I suspect grandma is no longer with us, given how little Watame talks about her in present-tense or recent stories, unlike the other girls who would talk about the recent antics of their elders. But Watame is doing her best to raise funds for that house to give to her mama.

Same for me. End April I was in hospital after robotic knife surgery on my tongue and neck dissection lymph node removal for a malignant tumour on my tongue. This is my 2nd time with cancer and I am not even 40 years old yet. While drowsy on painkillers in the ten days or so in hospital, I browsed an article that the highest earning superchat KZbinr is a Vtuber. From Kaichou, I discovered the joys of Hololive and now watch all sorts of VTubers besides Hololive. Frankly speaking, I was contemplating suicide and all because of everything that happened to my relatively short life. Thank you VTubers for brightening my days and keeping negative thoughts away.

It's really satisfying seeing what i drew move in the game. Hololive really kept me sane with all the seiso and un-seiso-ness. 5:32 Watame is SO right about that. I believe that the biggest problem with suffering, is that when one suffers we tend to believe that we are the only ones suffering in the world, or that everyone else's suffering doesn't matter in relation to our own. While I'm glad Watame is able to help people with her streams, people also need to understand vtubers are not therapists. Dumping depressing SCs on her isnt fair to her or the other viewers. People watch streams to have fun, and hearing about some of these can affect other viewers mental health as well. You know what, I was gonna pretend it was alright but fuck it, it's not. I mean it is not wrong to tell Watame thank you and everything. But we must consider that Watame is a girl who will very likely keep thinking about these emotional baggages that we're dumping on her. It practically is dumping, if she will shoulder them and not easily forget them. It's important to share but Watame is but one girl. No one human is strong enough for too much sorrow. I really hope everyone can just share happy things to her and cut down the sad things to a minimum, and, frankly zero is what I really want. We can share that amongst ourselves, go join the discord or sth.

I feel the same way, and I think it's amazing how much Hololive has helped me at this point. I leave a complicated job in search of my dreams, even though it's not easy and I have autism, I'm hopeful that everything will work out, because I have all these talents to be able to cheer me up when I'm down.

Never seen a bluer sky. Yeah, I can feel it reaching out and moving closer. There's something about blue... Asked myself what it's all for. You know the funny thing about it? I couldn't answer... No, I couldn't answer. Things have turned a deeper shade of blue, and images that might be real, maybe illusion, keep flashing off and on. Everything is clearer now. Life is just a dream, you know, that's never ending...

This might be an unpopular opinion, and I apologize if this comes off wrong. While I’m very happy for this person, that they survived a trauma like this, and turned their life around, and are doing well now. I honestly hope that people don’t do this too often, not just to Hololive, or Vtubers in general, or even streamers of any kind. 99.999% of them are just regular people, trying to entertain. They don’t have any training, or anything like that to help you. Even feel-good stories like this, must take a toll on the streamers. And while this one turned out well, to put pressure like that, even unintentionally, could be very detrimental to the streamer. So again, I’m very happy that this person is doing well, after everything, but we as viewers really shouldn’t drop weights like this on the people we watch. Watame, Kiara, and I’m sure many many more have to deal with this far too often. They are so sweet for caring and trying their best to help. But, just let them have fun. I’m sorry if this comes off negative, I honestly didn’t mean it to be.

I can’t and will not speak for anyone, especially the hololive talents, but I hope these kind of messages do not make them anxious and scared to retire or take non forced extended breaks. I sometimes feel like so many messages saying something along the lines of “I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you” would eventually make the recipient feel guilty about retiring or taking said breaks. As if they’d be responsible if anything happened to those whose “life depends” on this outlet. Tho idk how they feel or if they let it bother them. Just a small concern. I’m sure it also makes them very happy to know how many lives they’ve improved and how many people they make happy just by showing their faces!

I dont even have words. People are literaly finding their Peace because of simple streams. I am often very depressed and dissapointed of all people and i tend to keep my distance from Humans because Most of them Made my Life a living hell already, but Moments Like this, this little stupid Things make me Go on even If i feel Like the Last little 💩 on this rotten piece of dirt we are living on. It Just makes me so damn Happy to hear that there are people Out there that feel Like me and already are trying to make the best Out of their Deck of Cards even If its a 💩y Deck. And i am also Happy that watame understands where He is coming from. It Shows me that there are people that Care and that there are people that can be there for you even If you dont believe in it, Nobody has it easy, we all Carry something. Thanks for clipping this, this Made my day a Bit better

My experience wasn't that severe but I was still facing what was my most difficult time in my life. I still am in that period as of writing this. I happened to find a clip of Hololive talents playing Elden Ring, and I decided to check more of their clips. And just like that, the last two months have been filled with so much good emotion for me. Everything that I kept bottled up for months, started pouring out. All the Hololive talents are smart, funny, skilled, and stuff. But what really got me is how wholesome and human they all are - especially with each other. It is like watching an actual anime. I find myself resonating with them, cheering for their success, laughing and crying along with them. I am and will always be so grateful to all the people that made this possible ❤

Do the JP superchats ever get this intense? It's a sweet message and all, but jesus that's a lot to place on her shoulders. Just wondering if it's a thing unique to us overseas bros, like go into any of the big streamers on Twitch's chats and you'll see these kind of messages from time to time, just unbelievably personal things they're sharing in donations messages and half the time the streamers have absolutely no fucking idea how to respond to such a trauma dump

In a world of fake happiness and real misery, our fluffy sheep manages to make people feel safe, indeed feel anything at all. I find it curious that many people found a reason to actually live in vtubers, say what you will, if watching a streamer and giving them some cash for the entertainment makes you think "maybe life isn't so bad" then go for it, of course parasocial relations are a bad habit you should avoid, but getting that small push is not something you should be ashamed of.

@SKy_the_Thunder

I don't see it as "dumping". It's something that if anything should be discussed more in a public forum. As she said, a huge part of these mental health problems is the self-isolation - the "why me?" and "am I the only one?" that drag you down into cutting out the rest of the world. And even just seeing/hearing others open up about their own battles takes a lot of that away. It shows people that they're not "weird", "different" and "wrong", but that sometimes anyone may need help, and that anyone can offer that help to others, if just by offering a comfortable environment.

Finally someone with a brain. People watch vtubers to get away from this kind of shit, not hear more of it. If he really just wanted to express gratitude he could have sent a single, "Hey, thanks for helping me through some tough times," but he absolutely needed to get his 15 minutes of fame and his "awww made the streamer cry so wholesome chungus 100 xD" moment.

@@SKy_the_Thunder We should encourage people to talk about their problems, but there are places that are better suited for those kinds of things. If you're mentally unwell then talk to a professional or the people closest to you. If you feel isolated in your struggle, then try group therapy or talk to a friend. Get actual help. Don't go to a stranger's stream and send 5 separate donations for 14 700 NT about your entire life story. It only helps to bring down the mood of the stream. Streamers aren't your therapists and they aren't your friends. Stop treating this like it's healthy behaviour.

Something people forget is everyone else has some story as well. Everyone is the main character with all the downfalls and ceilings and issues as anyone else might have at some point. Keep that in mind before lashing out at people and even if you don't want to make the world a better place keep it in mind to keep the world from being worse. Next time someone calls you names online or you feel like insulting someone keep that fact in mind. You don't know if something is frustrating them or if their life is hell or what people are going through at all

I've been single and quite alone for 9 years now, due to having my social anxiety, anxiety and depression get worse after a breakup and I'm very thankful for finding Hololive.. I'm at the age where I suppose a man would often have a family and children and Hololive has given me so much joy in a similar way watching kids would. Cuteness, energy, humor, entertainment, to distract me from negative and bitter feelings. I'm so happy that after finding a few clips and liking em, HoloEN happened that really made me involved. Especially as my therapy had gotten me in a much better place right before Covid and then all group therapies etc. were cancelled, sending me into quite possibly the worst time of my life, due to the frustration of there being another setback and increase in my secluded anxiety fueled "lifestyle". As "sad" as it is to still be alone (and realizing these entertainers aren't my actual social relationships) I genuinely think that these girls at least make me FEEL a whole lot less lonely and miserable, remembering there are things to smile about. For anyone going through similar things, never be ashamed of enjoying what makes you smile. Whatever you find in life that can make you enjoy your time is truely valuable.
