Neither did the original. For that matter, why wouldn't it last at least as long?
@timothygeiger82712 жыл бұрын
@@EcnalKcin guaranteed to hold together for the first start, after that no guarantees! If it was for an engine without expecting much from, it might last a 5 or 6 months. But that crank they will demand alot out of it, & they don't exactly take too good of care of their equipment. Look at the working conditions, limited resources, which means limited as to proper maintenance.

This is where all the “cheap” repairs happen, you might think that it is all BS when it comes to expensive parts and services, but these videos really shows how much does it take to fix your car. These people might be the only ones who provide your “super discounted” parts, and I wouldnt bet on it not putting a hole on your engine block lol. But then again, when it comes to poor countries, these people are the “magician” and savior for all the vehicle owners in the country. they can fix it, eventhough it might not last a while, its the best they can do with a limited resource and purchasing power of their customers.

Is that a Toyota 3lt crank?
@deplorablebristolian2 жыл бұрын
Looking at the splines on the front of the crank you could be right. I know the Toyota 2L engine in all it's different capacities drives it's oil pump like that and those engines are also known to break cranks when turbo charged. You've got to remember he used two broken cranks to make one whole crank so it's obviously from an engine known to break cranks on the centre main journal.
@1magnit2 жыл бұрын
@@deplorablebristolian They always seem to spin the no4 big end bearing when there's an oiling problem and then , when you keep driving they crack at the no 4 or close to where no 4 meets the main.

@@deplorablebristolian Gotta wonder how well the weld is going to hold up when the original didn't. Are those welding sticks made of some magical grade of steel that's better than the steel the crankshaft's made of? Or do you know you're getting a welded shaft for cheaper and to drive super carefully on it?
@deplorablebristolian2 жыл бұрын
@@oasntet Yep, I certainly wouldn't waste my time putting that crank in an engine.
@EcnalKcin2 жыл бұрын
@@oasntet I guess that would depend on a number of factors. Like why the original broke, and what steel it is made of. It could be garbage as many people here seem to think, or last another 20 years depending on those factors
