In 90s local scrapyard shut down and they had crusher that would crush large truck engine blocks in gravel size items, in about 20 seconds. It was operational 50s-90s. And these poor guys are breaking them selfes in process. I was a kid in 90s, but they also had tower with guide rails and large steele drop weight, maybe 5t, for beaking larger machines (lathes, milling machines, ship engines and pumps) in smaller parts so they could fit in crusher, and chrusher was large beast.

Casting defects in a brake drum can be dangerous because of the high temperature they can reach under heavy braking and can lead to the drum breaking up. Trying to hide these defects by using car body filler is bordering on the criminal.

I am always amazed at what lengths these men go to to work in these primitive conditions, doing hard work in unsafe conditions in order to earn a living to support their families. Our lazy Gen X and Gen Z young adults in America would NEVER consider doing this because it woutd mess up their hair, get their hands dirty or make the sweat.
