Armed robbers attempted to seize control over an armed Los Angeles father as he prepared to enter his residence on Saturday night with a cup of coffee in his hand.
Their endeavor, however, culminated in a hasty retreat amidst a hail of gunfire!
The armed father stated after, "I guess they decided to try to come at me and come in the house, but I have a five-month-old baby and a wife and a nanny in the house, and that wasn't going to happen."
Surveillance footage shows the armed father as he approached his front door, holding a to-go cup of coffee. Subsequently, the video reveals one of the intruders jumping the gate and rushing up behind him brandishing a firearm.
In response, the father swiftly pivoted, swatting at the gun, threw his cup of coffee, and then drew his own weapon, initiating a barrage of gunfire.
The intruders hastily ran for their lives.
Describing the incident, the father recounted, "Out of nowhere, I felt someone run up behind me, put something to my back, put a pistol to my back, and somebody running up."
It's in moments like these that I strongly recommend considering self-defense insurance. Protecting ourselves and our loved ones shouldn't come at the cost of our financial security.

I keep saying it - if there's going to be limitations on mag size and firearms, let it be for ALL people, including private security, LEO and Secret Service. No semi-auto allowed? Arm the President's security detail with revolvers., like real men. No carveouts for special cases. Several years ago there was an attempt to ban semi-auto rifles in Virginia, with an exception made for LEOs. A Sheriff over on the western edge of the State immediately said he'd deputize every person in the county if need be, so they could keep their AR15s and other semi-autos.

I had a coworker who was the typical anti-gun Californian liberal. She started a conversation with me one day and it eventually steered into guns and safety. She made her statement on why guns were bad. I asked her a few simple questions that eventually got her mind spinning. 1st question: How fast do you think home invasions or similar crimes can occur? She said within a few seconds. 2nd question: How much do you think could happen within a few seconds? She thought about it for a bit and said "a lot". 3rd question: What would you do within those few seconds? She said call the cops. 4th question: How long do you think it'll take the cops to get to the scene and would you be able to call the cops during all the chaos of being attacked? She stared at me for a bit and then took her gaze away and remained silent for around 10 secs or so before reverting back to "guns are bad period"...

Saw this news footage just this morning and was really hoping it would make its way to you Colion and glad it did. I truly enjoy watching your videos and learning so much about how the importance of gun ownership is. We see the world around us getting worse and worse but yet the anti gun lobbyists still turn a blind eye to what's truly going on in our country. I live in California and the first thought when I saw this video was knowing damn sure the criminal had a standard capacity magazine while the defender only had 10. I pray that if I ever get put in that position my attacker does not kill me all because I run through my 10rds and am not quick enough to change mags meanwhile my attacker has a 17+rd illegally bought magazine.

What I find most astonishing is that this looks like a rich-ist neighborhood with a solid GATE. This is just proof that criminals will (literally) hop over barriers to get what they want. This guy had a home security system, walls to his property and a metal gate and yet those did nothing to stop them. My mom, who i now live with, isn't keen on me owning guns in the house. We are now lucky to own a house in a nice neighborhood with a gate at the front entrance. But it's not hard to jump it or wait for a car to get in and you follow it. Just goes to show that the firearm really is just the last line of defense when all the rest fail; and i looks like they do here.

Smart for the dude to distract the perp, by throwing his tea cup at him. Then reach for his side arm. That being said, this is why, I ALWAY ccw my pistol, when ever I go out. Even if it's to the local gas station to pick something up. I also have a gate and fenced in front yard. But I don't leave a lot of stuff for people to hide around. And I reside in a rural area, on 517 acres. Every vehicle, e.g, side x sides, ATV's cars, have a firearm and extra mags in them. All our ranch hands know this and have to prove to me they can fire a weapon...on my home range. As well as, the employees are free to carry their own firearms if they wish.
@RommelGSD
@RommelGSD 11 ай бұрын
I believe Andrew Branca said going to the gas station is like the animals in Africa going to the watering hole. You may never expect, know or see the danger just below the water. No matter what gas station I'm at, I'm always on a "higher alert" above standard situational awareness. Criminals need gas too! I thought I lived in a generally good neighborhood, but MOST of the crime is from inner city kids coming over the border into the city. It's worse now than I can ever remember. Car jackings at the gas station, Target etc. because its right next to the freeway. The next street over from me, very busy, school etc, was an armed robbery, where 2 weeks later they killed a cop in another carjacking. A few years back my German shepherd alerted me at 4:30 am barking like crazy because some thieves, I found out later, were checking car doors in our backyards. From the way he was acting I knew immediately to get my gun before checking things out. I walked into the kitchen & my shepherd was literally amped up, standing on top of my kitchen table scanning the backyard and going off. I turned on more lights outside to make sure the coast was clear, which it was. My dog knocked over some plants that happened to fall right into my dress shoes too. LOL Every summer I will read that there are several streets where cars have been gone through. Unfortunately, my city is VERY liberal, & I KNOW the criminals KNOW that and no one thinks they'll ever be a statistic. I refuse to be that person!

Multiple studies have been done on inmates about victim profiling. They do not want to deal with armed people, even if they are armed themselves.

I did this comment on another 2A KZbin page which I believe fits here also...... @johnlutu529 3 days ago (edited) What happened in Israel should be a wake up call to the rest of the world. Especially to our border states. I live in California and being a law abiding citizen my Kimber .45 is limited to 10 rounds so I have 4 Wilson combat 10 rd. mags. In CA in order to keep your battle rifle with the pistol grip and push button mag release you need to limit your mags to 10 rds. and you need to open your rifle to eject the magazine. Now try opening your rifle on a jam. Your shit out of luck. Criminals WILL NEVER follow the law. If they break into my house you can be sure they are coming in with Handguns with at least 15+ rounds and rifles with 20 to 30 rounds mags or even drum magazines. So while I have to crack my AR or AK after just 10 rds. just to reload. I'm now shit out of luck. So just imagine the drug cartels in Mexico pulling a Hamas here in the USA, They already drive around Mexico with the police and military in their pockets and if they need military grade weapons they can get them. Imagine what it will look like with a convoy of trucks armed with 50cal machine guns and of course rpg's crossing into the US. And you know we have cartel sleeper cells in the US. Anywhere you have a drug trade you have the cartels and you don't need to be Latin to be with the cartels, just be a dealer for them and guess who you'll be fighting for, NOT US. I hope it never happens but if it did how many law abiding citizens will die because of these so called public safety laws. And all those deaths will be on the hands of the DUMB ASS politicians who bought those laws into being. Like a lot of Californians I'm planning on moving out to Neveda where you can still get a regular AR or AK. With no restrictions. I hope these courts will wake up to what's happening in the world to know that these restrictions will get a lot of good law abiding citizens killed. And if you don't love my country then leave, you know where the borders are. And trust me we wont stop you. GOD BLESS AMERICA. Be Safe

Attack/game your own residence ahead of time. If I was a criminal, how would I attack me? CCW was good, cameras were good, will to fight was good, but how about turning around and scanning the area behind you before you proceed to your front door with keys in hand to enter. Or do the Stacie Lim thing. Have your tool discreetly in hand as you move to the entrance. Practice it with a blue gun and/or airsoft. Or text the wife and have her greet you/unlock the door from the inside so your hands remain free. She could even be sporting a long gun, like a DDM4V1 with an Eotech and X300u-B............too much? I see on my news feed a man was arrested near the capital in DC with an AR and of course the politicians start talking about passing another “assault weapon ban”. I was around back then and I had a Colt AR with the new A-2 sights. They did not ban “assault weapons”. The banned flash hiders, collapsible stocks, bayonet lugs, etc. purely cosmetic crap. You could still buy an AR it just didn’t look as scary. It created this pre-ban phenomenon making rifles with those features more expensive. I’m glad it sunsetted. It sure disgusts me to hear these guys bragging about passing a ban when it really wasn’t. Thanks for your activism.
