I first starting watching your videos when I was like 12 years old. Your stuff really changed the way I viewed this entire thing. I was a really out of shape, insecure middle schooler, and watching you really showed me that something I loved wasn't just some random hobby for me to screw around with. I could sit in my room and collect dozens of decks of cards without feeling like I was wasting my life. I started playing with a crappy deck of bicycles with no aspirations to do anything at all with them. I just enjoyed holding them and learning new ways to shuffle them. I remember how proud I was when I first learned how to do a spring, and every time I learned a new move or a trick I'd show my parents and my friends at school, and felt so happy like I accomplished something. It really gave me something to draw pride from during the most depressing period of my life. I thought about suicide often but magic and cardistry gave me an outlet and a way to have happiness when everything else in my day felt like garbage. The message you were sending kids back then was absolutely amazing. Seriously man you might not ever see this, but you and your videos meant so much to me as a kid. You showed so many kids that it was okay to sit in their room and practice card tricks. That it was okay to approach people with no fear of failing, because as long as you could sell it, no one would've even realized you messed up. You showed me a way to have confidence approaching people with magic, and the skills I needed to pull tricks off. Now I'm a 21 year old grown adult, and I still play with cards, even though I stopped approaching people with magic years ago. I have plans to go out of state to dealer school soon and I'll be leaving home for the first time, learning to deal blackjack, craps, poker and any other game that I can. I've found a way to use something I've been passionate about to make a living, and avoid a soul-crushing 9-to-5 like the rest of my buddies. This is incredibly important to me, and with the skills I've gained from trying to be the best magician I could be for years, I'm confident I can learn any game and be the best dealer I can be. I was just looking through your old videos and Aspire to Inspire really sticks out to me. I've seen all of your old magic and flourishing tutorials, but your documentaries hit me differently as a kid. To see where you came from and where you went, doing magic and inspiring kids the whole way, really changed the way I looked at things. So no matter where you end up, what you may be doing now, or if you never do magic again, just know that you changed my life, and I know you changed many other kids lives too. Don't ever feel like you did all this for naught, because even if I'm the only person who remembers the impact you had on my life, which I'm certainly not, that's enough to validate this entire youtube-magic thing for you. I just wanted to say thank you Evan. You made my life a lot better when I needed it most, and I'm going to take the lessons I learned back then into my future. I hope whatever you're doing, you're striving to rise above.

I remember driving to visit my buddies in cleveland few years back and got really dizzy and had my first panic attack on the side of the I-75 south. I sat there and watched the entire documentary on my phone with my deck of cards in hand to keep my mind occupied. Good documentary and just wanted you to know it helped get me through a rough time as insignificant as it sounds it meant alot to me. Thanks my dude.

WWE is in the fucking rear view mirror. But they are the intangible key element to telling this story. So while I'm done with them, I'm not done with them. But it's all a part of the plan.
