@@poweroffriendship2.0 the reason why its popular is that animation companies are cheaping out, as they would rather go with outsourcing animators from cheaper companies, understaffing, and underpaying the animators (so the companies go with a cheaper animation design thats not complex and easy to animate). The other reason why it seems repetitive is because it happens with tons of shows throughout animation history. Every era of animation goes through styles that lots of other rival companies copy in a similar sense for example Hanna Barbera looking styles were a thing for a while, as well as He-Man looking shows. Soon someday kids will be saying the same thing about future styles saying they wish it was more like the Cal-Art style. It's just the cycle of art.
