Your channel has great videos. This is the 3rd one I've watched this morning, and I'm about to binge some more. Intermixing the map with photos/video is really helpful. And I love how you include bonus tips about places outside the park. (Plus, the tip about starting the Fairyland Point trail on the steep end is definitely going to save some stress on the knees.)

We just watched this video and added Bryce Canyon to the itinerary for our June 2023 trip out west. Thanks for the review it is very informative. I noticed your wife has a Baltimore Orioles ballcap, We were season ticket holders at Camden Yards for several years while I was stationed at Fort Meade. Go birds!

Bryce is one of my very favorites! When Matt and I first got married, we went to the Grand Canyon with his family and I gave it an "8" out of 10 because it wasn't as cool as Bryce! It's still a family joke.
@LoveWiena2 жыл бұрын
I thought Zion was so beautiful, we went there in 2018 in January. It was nice because there weren't very many people and all the trees were in winter mode so we were able to see the canyon walls. But now that I have seen Bryce (June 2022) and climbed down into the Queen's Garden (6 mo after my hip replacement at age 76) I am so in love with Bryce and seeing it up close like that just brought me to tears. I want to go back there this fall (2022)!

Hey guys, my wife and myself just wanted to say thank you. We started watching your videos recently and just wanted to let you know that you really helped us out. We are literally on our way back from Bryce as we speak, we had such an amazing time! It’s funny because we totally understand the giving Grand Canyon an 8 or else you can’t give Bryce a 10. We did the hike from Queens Garden-Peekaboo to the benchmark-back to Navajo Loop and up to see Thor’s Hammer. Amazing hike! You really see God’s handiwork in that beautiful place. God Bless, keep up the good work and enjoying each other’s company on all these amazing trips you go on! Marco and Orfa

Bryce is one of my favorite parks and I second your recommmendation. A couple of things to add: If you're doing Kodachrome Basin state park and the weather is decent, the drive out to Grosvenor Arch is very nice. It's quite remote, but the road was entirely doable in a passenger car (though don't try it if there's been recent rain, because there's at least one stream crossing.) If you visit Bryce when there's snow (and it's amazingly gorgeous in the winter), you definitely want to have traction devices like YakTrax. The trails have exposure and can get very slick. And if there's snow in the morning but it's going to warm up in the afternoon, be prepared for heavy mud on the bottoms of your boots.

Super helpful video. Didn't skip any ads, hopefully that trickled towards your channel. We're planning around late June. Coming from Colorado. Unsure where to stay for 2 kids, one 70 y/o Grandma and two more adults. We're entertaining the idea of an RV/ Cabin/AirBnB. Are the trails you've mentioned easy for said Senior? Please also recommend places to eat or picnic. Thanks again and Stay Safe. Liked, Shared and Subscribed.
@WereintheRockies3 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late response. I just saw this! The trails I mentioned are not easy for a senior. The trail down into the canyon gets steep. Once in the canyon, it's not so back, but getting down and back up might be tough. There are trails they can walk along the rim, however. I don't have any suggestions for where to eat right now. We are going to Bryce this summer and will refresh our memories of the places to eat and stay. :)

What is your opinion on bringing small dogs. I know they usually aren't allowed in the national parks but are in most state parks. They're small enough to carry in a backpack for part of the time and are always on leash. Mostly worried about snakes.

This is perfect information for our planning purposes!! One Day @ Bryce! We will be driving from our base in Cedar City- is the drive approx 1.5 hrs to Bryce and 1 hr to Zion the next day?
@WereintheRockies3 жыл бұрын
Yes. Cedar city is a good base. Cedar City also has the Shakespeare festival with a cool outdoor playhouse and plays going all the time. May want to look into that if you have time.

Good question. I usually camp when I go to Bryce, and I haven’t yet researched that question, so I can’t help much. The nearest place is Ruby’s Inn. There are nearby towns like Tropic that have places. Also plenty of places along highway 12 I believe. One fun idea is East Zion Resort. It has yurts and tree houses and it’s in Orderville, between Zion and Bryce.
