My 3rd Gen Trd Off Road can do better and will last way longer by 3X before having any issues like these New Turbo's w/out rear lockers!! Not to mention the insane over priced with less amenities! Bad move for Toyota with going with a Turbo!!

@@bigfootswatching9986 your data is anedotal which means it is not data at all. 4th gen has a rear locker. My son just got home from college yesterday and we will be comparing my 4th gen to his 3rd gen...stay tuned! oh and the crawl control and hill accent is tons better on the 4th gen...

@@planoman0935 Let me rephrase this......4th Gen is better in all ways ....except for that Turbo engine. I can promise you it will be prone to way more issues compare to all the other reg Gas engines! Please keep us updated as well............My neighbor just took his new Taco back to the shop already due to limp mode issue??????

@@bigfootswatching9986 It is very possible that the turbo will not prove as reliable as the V6 but it is so much better with the 8 speed, I will live with it. I have had mine for three months next week and no issues, but that is anecdotal also and an N =1. We need to see lots of numbers to see trends. I have heard of an active grill shutter issue which causes check engine light etc, but not limp mode. It is a warranty issue and easy fix but irritating to be sure!

I used to offroad a 98 TRD 4x4 5spd Supercharged Tacoma with a 2in lift, and some 34's. 7:13 - Let's be honest, and some point it all just seems a little bit silly. When they started pushing buttons, turning knobs, and a cartoon of the truck showed up on the dash I rolled my eyes lol. I guarantee that my old taco could go through stuff that would get that new one stuck while costing way less money, not only to buy but to also fix. Anyways...I miss that truck😄...thanks for the video.

Apparently Toyota just dropped the price of a TRD OR Prem like 15K. I think he accidentally said the base OR price with a manual and no delivery charge.

hahaha not cheap anymore also Turbo charge small engine will have a lot of problems when it is get older not my type of engine not reliable and either not saving fuel ?????!!! so what Taco is achieved ???????!!!! I will wait for couple years ,just like NEW Tundra pop out a lot of problems now with Turbo engine ?!!!!!!!!!
