Are you part of the max brightness crew? I have the V40 ThinQ and my battery is perfect. If you want the QHD+(1440p) try putting the brightness at 80%. If you want the highest brightness with the same battery life. Turn the screen to 1080p and rock max brightness. What I would suggest is while you're out and about(like shopping...) turn the resolution to 720 and leave the brightness at 80% then when you want to use it change it to the above comment.

New subscriber here. I just finished picking this one up from AT&T. I gave my wife my iPhone 11 Pro Max a couple of months ago, and went back to my Note 10+. After seeing the V60 on AT&T's site for the sweet deal of free I couldn't resist. The last LG phone I had was the G4, and I loved that device. I've only been using the V60 for a day so far but I'm really enjoying it. I have always felt that other sites don't give it the fair take LG deserves so glad to see some folks taking a unbiased view on products.

I appreciate your thoughts with an unbiased comment. Usually when someone owns/owned Apple or Samsung products, they never have anything good to say about LG. I have owned several brands, and I have just liked and stuck with LG, but I also say that they all have good and bad features. It doesn't make the manufacturer the worst or best, just means they either hit it right, or they didn't.

I'm probably one of a handful of people still using the LG V10, which I got back in 2016. It's been a great phone, apart from HORRIBLE battery life. However, I recently lost a bunch of my apps, and play store too, so I couldn't get them back. So I started phone shopping. After looking at the Pixels, Samsung, and a few others and reading reviews, I got the V60. The ability to put in a MicroSD card, and the sound, plus the fact that I can take pictures in manual (something I often did with my V10, especially sunsets) decided it. I know I'll enjoy the battery life, too, coming from a V10. Plus the fact that it was half the price of the other phones I was looking at! This is my first day with it, and loving it so far. Thanks for the videos!

I'm so happy with the V60! No more carrying spare batteries and going from charger to charger!

@@shutterbugZoe How is your V10 still alive? I'm amazed. 😳 I got mine in 2017 and it suddenly bootlooped 3 months later and never turned on again nor took a charge. It also had image retention issues, same as the one I got before that it replaced. I had to use a blue light filter app to minimize it. I finally threw it away in the trash several months ago, still in brand new condition. I literally had a heavy chest and was on the verge of tearing up, because I loved its features. You won the V10 lottery. EDIT: The G4 had the same chipset as the V10 and also had bootloop issues. I bought my niece one and it also died suddenly like the V10. 😑

@zachiavelli_4 жыл бұрын
Its a noticeable difference. Went back to my V40 instantly. The 1440p outclasses the 1080p hands down. Every V series phone has had a 1440p display. I've had almost every one. The second I turned my V60 on I noticed how much sloppier everything looks. I don't have superhuman vision. But it's a phone based around media. 64 MP camera all for the pictures to look like a damn LG envy!
@zachiavelli_4 жыл бұрын
@Angel Montes Ambriz if anything the refresh rate should be better with the lower resolution. Maybe t was the software in the V60. I say this because I got the S20 plus (by the way the best phone hands down in my opinion evennkver the S20 Ultra) and when I run 120hz refresh rate on 1080p it looks exponentially better than the V60 did. However, I still run my S20 plus in 1440p most of the time because to me at least, I can see a difference. I have 20 20 vision for what it's worth. I know that isn't the case most of the time but maybe I'm blessed enough to be able to see the difference. Or I'm just tripping balls and its complete placebo! Although I think I can just tell the difference 🤣

@@zachiavelli_ Doesn't the V60 have a pentile display? (diagonal pixel layout). That could be the reason why the difference is so noticeable. 1 thing u are right about is manual usage vs customizing the phone.. after I learned how to get the display, camera, video settings, etc at their maximum capability the V60 blows away any phone on the market. I've gotten countless messages about how good my videos look on social media.. then when u add the dual screen & the price, there's no comparison.

Specs on this is still better than those quad hd screen phones anyway. I mean, you have a micro SD card slot, a special headphone jack, 8k manual mode. Come on! Picked up mine first day. Awesome phone right here.
@keenanppl4 жыл бұрын
for the price and what all comes with this phone there really isn't a better value on the market. And for the average person a quad HD display is not necessary. I'm a techie and I do use manual mode and I am concerned about certain specs but like you said the main suspect that I'm concerned with is can the phone hang with me all day long can it provide me use into the next day and this phone has gotten me a day-and-a-half of battery use! And I go hard on this phone! I hope that the press and the other LG haters can see this phone objectively for what it is a beast of a phone for a heck of a price!

Nice practical review! Got a deal on mine with the dual screen through T-Mobile - 2 for $999. One of them would have been worth it. Very sad LG is getting out of the smart phone business cause they make a solid product. My V10 lasted all these years through the G series phones, V20, V30, V40, and V50. Maybe they'd still be in business if they didn't build products that last. Hmmm.

I walk into the store thinking of getting a s20 or ultra but then I looked over at the v60 with the double screen I jumped at the v60 I just came from a Samsung I wanted something different and I'm very happy with the v60 great price 2 screens. I use the phone by its self most of the time without the double screen but I'm glad I have the option to have 2 screens as well, no complaints.

Right now I'm researching to decide between the iPhone 11 and the v60, glad I came across this video. Long time android user who never thought about getting an iPhone, but with the prices of the other better androids being so high I'm contemplating. V60 is back in the running. LG pay this man!

Ok I have to stop the video and write this, I love the way you talk to us in this video! I am in the process of gathering information about phones because I am about to buy one, there are many phones on the market with crazy specifications and I am a little overwhelmed by so much technical info that I maybe understand but not that much. That being said, I am looking for a phone that I can use for the next 2-3 years (they are expensive so at least they have to last that long) and I must say that during this process I always check the LG V60 again. My current device is an LG G6 and man ... I love this phone! Right now the ones that interest me are the Oneplus 8 pro, Xiaomi Mi 10 pro, Samsung Galaxy S20+ and this one. The finalists that I can say are the Oneplus and the LG, but I'm not going to lie, maybe the Oneplus has "better" specs, but the LG is really a good device! it has a charm that calls my attention more and more ..... then again I really like your video!

Just bought this phone last night, Watched your other video on the v60. Pretty excited. Have the G7 right now and have enjoyed it more than my samsung which is just over priced IMO, Buying for a BRAND just isnt worth it. Hopefully the camera is muchhhh better than the G7 though which im sure it will be. LG has me in their grasp now! will hopefully get it next week since stores apparently dont have it, Not the dual screen anyways which i wanted to play around with being only 4$ more a month.

Picked up my V60 this week in classy white (shout out, crew). Have owned almost every V series, and this one takes the win for the best of the line. For me, as long as they keep the quad DAC, they'll keep me coming back. I'm hoping this upcoming Velvet line keeps up the tradition.

I am late to the party but I have been debating getting this phone. I am a "regular consumer" as in I am not a techie (I ask my brother for that) I work in (Biology/Medical) Science. I have been a very satisfied customer with the V30 for over 3 years now and the only reason I am thinking of upgrading is because my screen mysteriously cracked (Not sure what happened, weird fluke) last night. Without that I would have happily carried on with it for a least another 6 months. The reason why I am 90% sure this phone is for me is because despite being the "average user," I use the quad-dac extensively (very strong reason given the type of music I listen to), and more importantly I use the Manual mode of the camera almost every day. Last night I watched a video that also talked about the speakers and the microphones (wow that was cool) and their uses (There are a lot). He labeled this phone as a phone for content creators and I have to say, from what I've seen, I agree. For me the most important aspect is not just the camera, but the manual mode because so often I have a set idea on my head that the camera won' t automatically do, but I can get it to do in manual. I have a DSLR camera, but if you want to talk big, that takes the cake. But I am randomly walking through the neighborhood at night and want to take a picture of the sunset, that camera with that manual mode is what I need. Given your review, and the others I have watched/read, I am leaning heavily into getting it. Now I just need to scrape the money together. Obviously a lot easier for this one than if I were to get the most recent Galaxy (what my dad has) or iPhone (What my mom has). Overall thank you for the review/video, but remember though your "average user" is going to encompass a lot of different people.

After switching from the LG G8 to the OnePlus 7t I realized how much more versatility LG gives me in terms of what I love. The quad DAC along with those beyond versatile cameras brought me to a point where I had to get the v60 in sell my OnePlus 7t and OnePlus 8t. I miss high refresh rate and the near stock experience but the trade-offs just weren't enough to keep me on board.

What I like about this phone....LG low-key aim it sights at the galaxy note. That active stylus feature make this phone a beast with dual screen. Once you use the pen, this phone was literally made to be used with the Wacom bamboo pen ink. This phone is low-key special.

I appreciate the way you give a review... thank you. That being said - battery, memory expansion capability, processor, camera, durability. And although I have the Classy Blue, the white is very nice - Mother-of-Pearl may be the phrase you were looking for. FYI - if you add a line on AT&T, you can get the V60 for free... yeah, free! With the second screen included... And I've been a buyer of LG phones since the Optimus G Pro... they have come a long way. Appreciate the real insight from your review. Stay healthy!

How do you get the dual screen? My husband and I bought these when we switched over from another carrier, but the screen doesn't come shipped with it like it does with TMobile. At first I didn't care, but after thinking it through and watching several videos we definitely want to take advantage of the promo
@ttaylor68684 жыл бұрын
@@kamiko_kourteva Go back to the AT&T website... click the phones & devices link and go to the V60 page. When you look at the top of the page, I think on the left side of the page, you should see a link for special offers. Click that link and it should take you to an LG page where you can submit your request for the second screen. You will have to take a picture of your receipt and the IMEI number (separate pictures). They will send you an email when they get the request... an email confirming if it was accepted and (supposedly) an email telling you when it ships. I received the first two emails on the same day I sent my request in... and was told to expect it within 3 - 6 weeks... I got it in 3 days! Hope this helps... good luck and enjoy your V60!

Got the V60 and gave my G8 to HER to replace a stylo3+ that the battery was starting to inflate. At TMO, the V60 was $50 less(single screen) than the G8. I like it but in a way I think she got the better end of the deal. Except for the cam, the G8 is what the V30 shoulda been. Finally, I was afraid the "64mp" cam on the V60 really wasn't... but it is...yay!
