tell that too your federal district NDP candidate, regardless of them holding a seat in house or not. under Singh, the NDP will always back the liberals, until Singh qualifies for that MP pension, which he gets in February of 2025. he wont risk losing that from an early election, especially when his own popularity is almost as low as Trudeau's while the NDP party in general, is slowly growing in popularity. He has to serve 6 full years as an MP. It is going to take leadership change of the NDP party to call for an early election through a vote of no confidence.

@@randym8393 Canada has gone down the tubes. When I was a small child Canada was definitely close to being number 1 in the world, and perhaps for a short time we really felt it was, but there was things under the surface that had yet to be revealed, and Canada didn't sustain long. Right now Canada is not within striking distance of being the best country in the world. Look at the schools, and how they talk about "gay rights", or "gay tolerance" or push their "gay agenda" Why on earth is the word gay being used. Gay is a word that is part of homosexual culture that homosexuals use themselves, and was invented by homosexuals, and is actually a method to take attention off of the actual acts which constitute someone being a homosexual. When they talk about marijuana users in public schools, do the teachers refer to them as "stoners" or "pot heads" or any of this sort of lingo? Do they say "our community of stoners here at the school"? Of course not, they call them marijuana users. So why are the schools getting away with using this in-group lingo, used by homosexuals themselves, to refer to them. Its not just the schools, it's the state funded media as well, that is pumping this propaganda. Call it a "homosexual community", or a "homosexual agenda" or "homosexual tolerance" or "homosexual rights". Stop using the word "gay" to refer to homosexuals, it is fricking ridiculous and unprofessional I feel like I'm missing something, but that was a really long comment, so I'm going to leave it at that. Instead of listening to Canada's version of Trump, break your spell, look up some economic data on how Canada is actually doing, and realize that though Justin is deplorable, his party has policies that have made Canada thrive. Try searching GDP per Capita and see how well the rest of the world is doing.
@Krusty-kl5ej8 ай бұрын
@@globalado2593Canada’s published GDP includes the 100,000 public sector jobs created in the last half decade. These jobs are not GDP positive as the salary and benefits eventually exceed the tax gains from the job creation and the lack of net productivity in general for the country. This effect takes a few years to show harm , but it does eventually arrive by depressing GDP metrics. Real measures that are better present day indicators: 1) Over half of Canadian households are near insolvency 2) Canadian deficit/debt ratios are by far at record levels with no sign of cuts to spending in the immediate future 3) the ratio of private to public sector jobs is now slight less than 3:1. A healthy supply demand sector requires this ratio at 5 or 6:1 to ensure enough net tax revenue is being generated to support required social programs. Because it’s at 3:1, needed social program budgets are cut - like health care transfers to the provinces This is all a house of cards just waiting to blow down. The most likely factor to do this? Global interest rates. A well managed country that looks after its own house can protect itself from such global stresses. Canada isn’t one of those countries.

@@robertdobie8680 A leader with a great list of attributes is very rare, in politics, in business, even team sports. Most men who rise to the top have a few solid components, but also many missing or weak walls, in the self they've constructed. It would have been wise for Trudeau to hire writers and advisors capable of providing better rebuttals in the house. It is a glaring fault that he speaks like a child, and it could have been addressed, but I imagine it is his entitled ego that prevents him from responding like an adult. Business is pretty good in Canada, but citizens are paying a price for having enjoyed low interest rates for a generation. Inflation is rampant across the globe, but I do not believe a better/different leader could halt this inevitable strain on our wallets. Just as I do not think a different leader would have stopped online gambling from your phone. What the corporations want, the corporation get.

❤ I agree, comparing Canada with other countries that never had our freedoms and resources is a cop out. I don't care if we are doing better than them, I care about how sad Canadians have become. I care about federal government over reach, I care about laws being pushed through without debate. I care that a minority govt is doing such damage to our cultural and fiscal outlook. Tax payers money being thrown to the wolves instead of homes, healthcare, and our military. I want to see Trudeau and Singh grovel in a trial for the crimes against humanity

Interest rates, the 26% of mortgages that are coming due at 5% higher rates will create a crisis NEVER BEFORE SEEN IN CANADA!
@schwags19698 ай бұрын
A housing crisis is coming for people loosing their homes, rents will go sky high. The people who own homes are going to have higher property tax, this is not going to be a recession, we are headed for a complete collapse and depression.

My dad told me back in 1980 that interest rates rose 22% in the West Coast...a lot of people lost there homes.
@sheilaschepp57618 ай бұрын
They lost their homes with 30k mortgage! Whats the average mortgage 700k...900k the amount people owe is 20 to 25 times more than when rates were 22%. The BoC already told banks in Canada to increase there cash reserves, they know its coming. It's going to be very bad.

Clearly minutes, we're wasted discussing rules when important matters of the day were pushed aside and now this episode is going to unnecessarily waste more sessions in the house discussing. Where was the PM during the speaker's rant? That's says it all.
