I really miss the old CNN and CNN Headline News of the 80s. During CNN's first decade it was the best source of news. In the 90s it began to be a little more about the anchors. Now a CNN news piece often matches the pattern, "see anchor X react to situation Y". Other times it seems to be designed to introduce as much drama as possible. The old CNN provided clear news and respected that its viewers could form their own opinion. CNN has a lot of very talented people. They are probably just caught up in a culture that has made them this way, just like all other cable news. Maybe this is what people want, just not me. I really miss the old CNN and CNN Headline News!!!

We were much better informed about news happening around the world in the 1980s and early 1990s thanks to CNN. There's been no cable news channel (notice the word "news") for decades now. This absence has been particularly felt as social media filter bubbles creates echo chambers for biased and outright fabricated news to flourish. America has become dumb. Political commentary on CNN used to be essentially limited to Crossfire. Then they decided to make Crossfire the format all day, every day. It's boring, useless, and makes us dumb.

It has become very far left, in the earlier days they were more neutral and just covered the news.

Just watchin' the first hour. Crazy how the tease during the break could have the teletype typin in perfect rhythm (unless there was a pre-recorded sequenced type with synth riff bassline added). I'm guessing end credits may not be visible right off the start, and since not tracked there would have been no stopping having groups like #AtlantaRhythmSection or #PaulDavisArista sit in and jam on slow news days.😊 #PRC #Isitlive #Mechanicallyproduced

I miss the old CNN, where they just reported the news. It was a new and great concept, having a 24-hour news channel at the time. I watched a lot of big events on CNN. If Ted Turner still owned it, he wouldn't let CNN become biased woke media.

This year is our 10th year Birthday. 🇺🇸 US 10th Fleet CYBER Command Got your back We too also have latest electronic gizmos Fact check me.. Just kidding But is also our birthday. Ted Turner is watching you now. More than all with the U.S. as it is. Don't forget your primary mission. Bring the people Factual Truthfulness in news like you have been doing. In spite of all the bs fake news claims. I guess hiding out in a bunker like Hitler is also fake new. While Rome burns. Somebody plays golf Nero fiddled and laughed.
