@@MikeHowles Yeah, this is mostly due to the fact that Crypto has gained enough money to start lobbying for itself, you are essentially becoming the very thing you set out not to be... It is just now that the large corporations and big money has bought in, so it is finally in their interest to pump it up by supporting it :) And all the small investors that want it to stay "unregulated" because that is most likely to increase your money without the underlying asset actually providing value :)

This space need harder regulations so many people got wrecked in 2017 and it's going to happen again in 2022. Brian Brooks is a very smart guy who is extremely knowledgeable on financial systems, laws and the bureaucracy behind all of it. Brian understands cryptocurrencies and the technical side of them, as well, he has a tremendous ability to explain things in layman terms, so that ordinary people that do not understand, can grasp the technology and it's use cases. Regulation is necessary. Many crypto exchanges have popped up in the last year and the way they function is arbitrary. There needs to be a set of regulations for these exchanges to protect the retail investors. Many different coins have popped up in the market that are either totally a scam or don't have a limit on the number of tokens. You obviously cannot regulate P2P given the nature of the transactions. The underlying Blockchain technology should be embraced by the governments worldwide. Crypto currency is just a small part of what Blockchain can power in the future. You should set up regulations for exchanges & new assets or you can limit the legality of different coins as assets. Nonetheless, really good times ahead.

Consumers shouldn't invest in any investment they don't understand, doesn't matter if it's in stocks or crypto. The Government should focus on audits so they can ensure projects are not being developed to just grab the cash and pull the rug but they shouldn't start regulating left and right. People are scared of crypto because it's volatile af and can't wrap their head around a digital currency that didn't require a bank to exchange

Problem is that even the best investors are just basically gambling better than worse investors. There is no clear cut line where one "knows" or "understands" the market. Proof of knowledge of the market is the money you make in it, and no knowledge can actually reliably protect you. There is a great joke in Crypto about monkeys and supergeniuses making the same excellent bets while the average 'thinking' investors gets screwed. Its because sometimes gut instinct is right purely because of the force of population. And the supergenius can analyze this in along with other factors. Whereas the monkey minded man will just smash buy because he can see no wrong. Both are proven correct by profits. Even if the middle intelligent guy (for the example) had a great financial education. If he misjudges signs or gets unlucky he will lose everything. The only sure defense is a disclaimer because the overly confident will always screw themselves, and the extremely intelligent will always make mistakes. As for education i ALWAYS tell people, spend about a half year (minimum) on youtube, 3 hours a day, listening to crypto videos, following crypto whale and influencer accounts and using small trading accounts to get accustomed to real trading, withdrawals and transfers and to test and learn investment strategies in the oven.

im a developer myself i would argue that blockchain technology is the future itself not the crypto. we are still in a development some may take advantage of it. so i would say still other asset class like stocks and bonds are still the best way to trade in.

@@DerrickHistory there are some components that may occur or other factors that is not yet studied. it may take 5 to 10yrs for it to make it perfect i think thats the minimum requirement but its still depends. there are still some vulnerabilities that may become error in the future when it comes to cryptos so i would say cryptos is not optimized yet.
