Nah, The battle was Low-Key enjoyable but Dizaster was super extra and DNA making up words and phrases like "Time Flies Loud", "Raylell", "Oh you're yawning, that's okay when I spray well". Really, Dizaster's First round, His second round rebuttal and Lux impression, and DNA's KOTD/Grindtime Now bar in the second and his 3rd round Ender were the only memorable moments in that battle. Diz vs. Canibus and Iron Solomon and DNA vs E Ness and Ill Will were way more memorable in my opinion

This battle was SO FUCKING ILL when it first came out. I remember watching the WRC 07s and thinking Diz had potential to be good, but when he battled The Saurus, it seemed like he went super saiyan. I became an INSTANT Diz fan, but The Saurus is still arguably the GOAT to me. Watching this battle back, it defo doesn't age as well. However, it was still an iconic moment in battle rap history. Also, Diz vs. DNA is a legendary battle, but even when it happened, I thought it was a bit overrated. I thought Diz won CLEARLY, but that overall, after the first round, it kinda tapered off. On the flip side, I thought Diz vs. Caustic was a HUGELY slept on battle and is still arguably my favorite battle ever. Y'all should watch that if y'all haven't yet. #OD9

Anybody who gives this to Thesaurus is biased because of his persona and reputation in battle rap. Diz's first round sucked, but the flow and originality of the last 4 bars alone made Thesaurus' weak sing songy clichéd Arab jokes fall flat. The next two rounds, Diz delivered more mindblowing greek mythology bars with an unheard of crispy flow, and Thesarus just repeated the same schtick for all 3 rounds. "Hip hop was never about foreignors, immigrants, etc., its about who spits it the wickedest, and quite frankly Im sick with it". Thats a truth that cuts through all of Thesaurus' lines, and basically that shit is, when hearing it for the first time, like hearing Biggies "Biggie Smalls is the wickedest, n****s say Im pussy, I dare you to stick your dick in this". No matter how you put it, flow, rythm, and feeling is a big part of rap. Thesaurus didnt really have any of that in this battle. He had way more flow in the WRC's against Hom and Piff for instance, where his and Illmacs flows (as well as their lyrics) outshined their opponents. Thats what its all about folks. Y'all are getting too caught up in the history and forgetting the essentials.

There was definitely a period of time where Diz was better than Thesaurus, I'd say around the exodus to KOTD. Leading up to Diz getting the chain, I'd argue that he was doing much better than Pete. After that though, I don't think Diz really holds much of a candle to his body of work. As far as Diz vs DNA goes, that was one of the longest running grudge matches, besides Diz vs Cortez (which was actual trash). I'm on board with Ill on that one.
