Recruit efficiently
It’s tempting at first to just wander the streets of London and randomly scan citizens as you look for just the right recruit, but this can take a lot of time, and there are a few things you can do to make the process more efficient. First, when you do see someone useful, but you don’t have time to recruit them, you can save them as a potential recruit with the press of a button. This will add them to your teams tab, so you can find them later. Second, rather than prowl the streets all day, Bagley, the game’s AI, will occasionally point out high-value recruits on your map with these bright green icons. But keep in mind that these recruits are only marked for a limited time, so if you see someone you’re interested in, I recommend setting a waypoint, heading to their location, and at least marking them as a potential recruit so you don’t lose them. Lastly, when you do see someone who clearly stands out, scan them to see what they can do. That’s what I did with this street performer, who I learned can evade any pursuit by posing as a statue.
Build a network of associates
Here’s a strategy that can be used to make playing Watch Dogs Legion much more interesting. Some Londoners, when scanned with the deep profiler, will show a list of known associates, and it can be very beneficial to mark residents who have a lot of associates as potential recruits. Here’s why. As you wander the streets, the game’s UI will point out if you encounter someone who is a friend of one of your team members, or, and this is important, someone who you’ve marked as a potential recruit. In this instance, I saw this person in trouble was a friend of someone I had marked as a potential recruit. So, I decided to rescue them, and in doing so, their friend decided to join my team automatically. No recruitment mission required. Now, I don’t know what other consequences might come about from helping people who are associates of people you’ve already recruited, but nonetheless, this will happen a lot more frequently if you consistently mark people with one or more known associate. That said, this strategy can backfire, and that brings me to my next tip.
Be careful who you kill
Ok, so this is awesome. After I recruited that guy by saving his friend, I wanted to see what other consequences I might be able to trigger by messing with this spiderweb of known associates. So, I scanned my potential recruits for people they knew, and that led me to this woman, who was the parole officer for one of my potential recruits. Well, when I found her she wasn’t in any trouble, so for the sake or research, the only thing I could do of consequence was, well kill her. So I did. And. while the cops did show up, nothing else really happened. But then, a little while later, I received a mission request. Turns out, that parole officer had a doctor who hates DeDsec, and he somehow got wind that I killed his patient. So he kidnapped one of my team members and in this new side mission, called a “revenge mission,” I had to save him. In other words, the people in this city really are connected, and interacting with them triggers consequences that literally change your experience with the game. I have to hand it to Ubisoft for getting this right.
Unlock the drone hacks
The game’s tech menu is where you’ll unlock hacks, weapons, upgrades, and gadgets. Some of the most useful for me were the spiderbot’s double jump, the invisibility cloak, and the attract hack, which will lures enemies to explosive traps you set. But the ones that became real life savers, and unexpectedly so, were the game’s several drone and turret hacks. See, in this future version of London, drones are everywhere, and if you’re defenseless against, say, an anti-terrorist drone, you’re pretty much toast.

Remember how Cyberpunk was supposed to be this living world where npcs live out their daily lives? Well Watchdogs Legion actually pulled it off, not only can you recruit any npc but if you scan their profile it'll show ya their place of residence, occupation, know affiliates, hang outs, and even where their goin! It's pretty great, although I think they could have done even more, here's hoping the next Watchdogs will take things to the next level.

This game wasn’t even on my radar but I decided to give it a shot since it came out on my bday. I was more than pleasantly surprised. I have about 23 hrs in and I have hardly done any of the main missions. The Deep Profiler aspect of this game is one of the most innovative mechanics in any game I’ve ever played. Granted, I use the deep profiler to stalk and kill rival gang members and their family members 😂...Not it’s intended use but extremely addictive. I kept putting this one married couple in the hospital and stalked them for like several days before killing them. The best games allow you to create your own fun 👌

This is actually the reason I love Ubisoft games. They give you tools beautiful world to explore, few pretty basic missions like go here, steal that, kill this etc and now its up to you how you gonna use those tools and items provided to your advantage. I remember in WD2 where you had to steal the Siska's car I didnt even went into the compound I just hacked everything remotely and at the end I hacked forklift and just push the van with the car out off the compound. Completely different experience from Rockstar where they always pulls these garbage on rails boring missions and get 10/10 while treating you like a fucking toddler who cant hold piss until they get to the toilet.

Good luck to ya mate! I am doing my first playthrough and since i tend to think 'fuck it i can take all of them at once' sometimes xD i chose to play it safe the first time and leave permadeath off. I would highly recommend that you take some time to build a big team. Right now i have 4 or 5 charachters, but i have over 20 saved as potential recruit, some of them still hate dedsec, but i have to say i've not been prioritizing recruiting missions at all. Next time i get on i'm gonna filter that recruit menu and add some new characters to my team.

There are a couple of things i notice as well, you don't really need to clear a district to get a spesific recruit. You can find them in the world if you lucky like me. I almost got 3 person specialised in drone on my team, 2 spy and 2 hacker on my team. And i got the beekeeper without clearing the boroughs or whatever its name is.

Lol I tried the cargo drone bomber and I was spotted before I dropped the tanks Albion shot the tanks on my cargo drone and I started to crash but at the last second I jumped up the burning cargo drone and landed on a roof before it exploded, hats off to Ubisoft

The associate thing is not how u said really. If you deep profile recruit, just complete one of the investigations, I typ do first one, mark on map and alot easier and quicker then recruitment missions.

One of the many reasons I prefer the first Watch Dogs over the second one is because of how raw the gameplay is when it comes to infiltration and stealth. I'm not a fan of using gadgets in any stealth game; I prefer to use a suppressed weapon and good old movement. Am I able to play the entirety of Watch Dogs: Legion without having to use the Spiderbot and flying drones?

I am an avid gamer yet never played a Watch Dog’s game before this (tried ‘em for 20 min and wasn’t interested) I am very glad I gave this game a 2nd chance after my 15 minute un-interested initial try out. I’ve been playing this game for a week straight and still haven’t even finished the 1st construction recruit mission lol….Gettin that tech for my spider bot and drones upgrades, Goin for $$$ so I can buy all the clothes possible (BIGGEST PUNK ROCK CLOTHING SELECTION I’VE EVER SEEN IN A GAME!🤘☠️🤘. Then trimming the fat from my ANONYMOUS CREW and delegating tasks to the right people….one thing I haven’t heard and been looking, how does “smart investor work? Is it just always on and when you pick up it’s more $? Or do they go and invest and collect profit some time during the campaign? Also, can you stack traits? If I have 4 smart investor am I making more $? If I have a couple lawyers or barristers will my crew never stay incarcerated for more than a few min? Bro I found out something new in watch dogs legion they added in secret doors that you can bash open which are covered with thin plywood and can be broken with melee attacks but create a lot of noise and they're marked with a red X which I think is a reference to rainbow six siege and is a good way to go around locked areas if you're in a rundown area of London which I found the sealed door in the Camden area when I took down Clan Kelly gang members but there could be more around London

So lets say I recruit an albion employee, could my hitman or assassin then wear that uniform and get the same benefits or do I have to use the albion employee to have access the suit?

Abilities only work with the operative you recruit. So your hitman would not get to dress up like an Albion employee. I think the unstated assumption is they come with IDs and the knowledge on how to act and not just a pretty uniform. The only things you can change are the two weapon slots and the one equipment slot. You can change them at any time except when in combat, chase, or stealth.

Very helpful indeed. Some recruiting missions are really long and hard: I lost 2 cool ops at the 3rd and final stage of "Survive an attack wave". Then The potential recruits hate DeadSec because they died trying to do what your recruit couldn't. Which is a bit weird. Any way, loving this game.
