I bought my first watch at 34 because of your videos. A god tier Casio stainless steel watch. But it’s a promise watch, I bought it as a visual commitment to quitting weed and nicotine. IWC is one of the few decent houses remaining and so is Omega. Precisely the brands you dislike. As soon as the Omega 9920 movement percolates to other models, I see a lot a trouble for Rolex. They have nothing at that level.

Sometimes I think the watch industry needs a revamp. Too many brands with no history for ridiculously expensive prices getting talked about for investment purposes, and not enough with history getting talked about. I like RM bringing eyes to watches just not a fan of their design style YET. I like watches for history and horological significance.
