I bought a simple skeletonized Earnshaw a few years ago. I have daily worn it ever since and I enjoyed every second of owning it. The materials feel high quality when holding it. Its rugged (and cheap) enough to wear it during work and sport without the fear of destroying an expensive watch. I don’t know if this is good or bad but my watch loses about a minute per week. Don’t know what other people's experiences are but mine is three years old and runs without problems. If you’re looking for an affordable watch and you like the way the Earnshaw watches look (I understand the flashy skeletonized look is not for everyone) I would definitely recommend them.

I happen to own 3 Earnshaws. None of them skeletonized. They started off with a very nice chronometer-inspired design and a decent Seagull (Tianjin) movement inside. Unfortunately they abandoned their first model and went for the slightly overpriced skeleton-blingery. However, it is possible to find decent watches in the lower priced tiers. Nothing wrong with having a little bit of fun at the expense of overzealously advertised mass-production, though.

You've got me beaten, I've only got two. A Beaufort with two open hearts, and a full skellington. I like the Beaufort and my wife prefers the skellywaggle. I hasten to add that I only paid about £40 each at a local auction. I would also add with even greater haste that recent additions to my collection include two proper Tissots (a vintage two-Timer and a V8). Other 'Heritage watches on the market are Lator, Stockwell and La Banus. I have no plans for any of these.

There are people who buy those watches and enjoy them. I got into watches from shopping channels. I enjoyed the habit for many years, read the watch magazines, followed a few content creators on KZbin. While I haven't bought a new watch in a few years I still enjoy casually following the market. While I appreciate the higher end models I would never pay more than 1,000 for a watch. I have watches I paid 100 for that I still wear and enjoy today. I certainly would never talk down to someone who enjoys watch collecting even if their collection came from home shopping or discount retailers. I would focus on a person's interest in what they collect and the joy it brings them. That $50 watch your girlfriend gave you in college could hold more value than the newest Richard Mille. That's the joy of watches.

Do you wanna chill out for a second. No one is saying that you can't enjoy cheaper watches, but most of these presented here are just ripping people off, rather than presenting anything of value. If you want cheap then buy an Orient, Swatch, Casio, Zelos, Seiko or Citizen, not these junk brands whose only goal is to rip off unaware buyers who hit purchase before thinking.
@AvidUTuber2 жыл бұрын
@@Uniongamers you sound like a 🤡 How're these junk? Do they not keep good time?
@Uniongamers2 жыл бұрын
@@AvidUTuber does a Casio that costs 10 to 20 times less not tell the time? If you just want an accurate timepiece then buy a good Quartz watch or just use your phone. Earnshaw are trying to sell an image, not a reliable timepiece that will last the ages. The watches shown here are garish skeletonised watches trading on a horological name they have no connection to, whilst ripping people off for movements that can be found in watches that sell for a tenth of the price of an Earnshaw. The real clown is you repping for a company that cares less about its watches than it does the people who waste their cash on these hollow horological cash grabs.

I view the overly priced Swiss watch market being similar to the artificially inflated cost in the diamond market . The diamond industry made it so that a lab grown diamond haves to be labeled as such because it is hard to distinguish the difference from a natural diamond . It's the same with the Tourbillions , because without the label " Swiss " then most people couldn't tell the difference from a China made Tourbillion and a Swiss . Basically it's the " Swiss " stamp that you are paying for , similar to paying more for a fruit sold with the label " Organic " .
