The reason I asked this is because of the way some of the drones/missiles where trailing flaming debris versus seeing them explode first then turn into flaming debris. But, what I was looking at may just have been the Tamir missiles at the end of the burn stage with the last of the solid rocket fuel causing an elongated exhaust flame. I imagine that the stockpiles of Iron Dome missiles has got to be getting uncomfortably low by now, so I would not be surprised if Israel was using Iron Beam now even though it is still in the development phase.

An EMP weapon is a device that generates a energy pulse that is used to fry electronics killing most electrical system, especially those that depend on micro chips. As for an EMP weapon being used, I don't know how far that technology has come. In the current setting, I would think that an EMP would cause a lot of electronic damage to the surrounding area, and with how dependent we are on electronics, that would be just as bad if the drone had it the target. But, when you referred to a directional EMP, that could be the electronic jammers that overwhelm the radio signals that are used to control the drone or interfere with the navigational signals such as GPS. Weapon systems are getting so incredibly complex that it is hard to keep up with just what is out there, never mind with how they work.
