Back in the shop the first day. Another woman had no idea you're supposed to slow down in snow and ice. Straight off the road at the first bend in the road. Driving with them I noticed that they only pay attention to what's directly in front of them. Traffic or pedestrians off to the side may as well not exist. I've lived and worked in China for an extended period, and I can confirm what's being reported in this video. Chinese people have two speeds on their cars: zero and "pedal to the metal." One out of ten is texting while driving. They rarely look where they're going. They either don't know what road signs mean or don't care. They drive on sidewalks, and if they hit you, they will continue as if nothing happened. I've seen these things every single day.

Thanks to the strict law enforcement, most drivers will stop at the crosswalk and give way to pedestrians. Shanghai is a city studded with surveillance and traffic cameras. And some cameras will record the drivers if they don't give way to pedestrians. With a dashcam, drivers can also report misdemeanors like other drivers not using turn signal. So at least, if you are a tourist in Shanghai, you will feel safe walking in the street. But if you travel to other places in China, especially cities in the north, like Beijing, drivers are very uncultured and rude.

Chinese dash cam channels are my favorite thing on KZbin. There are some hardcore videos from there. You can't find anything more bizarre than their driving

Traffic in the cities of the Philippines is crazy, but most people know how to drive safely. I call it "organized chaos". However, in China it's obviously just chaos.

Don't worry, the truck that didn't lower its bed was just fine. The overpass gave way before he could lose his load.

No surprise when you know Chinese Pilots can't follow Air traffic control direct for landing ,or when they came to The US can't read the sign one way only

That was certainly "something different". Congratulations on reaching 2 million subscribers!

China and Vietnam have the same problem Cell phones, there are NO laws preventing driving while playing phone games and watching youtube or what ever I see SOOOO many crashes out here in VIetnam all ovder not just the North and its typically some dude or chick on their phone and a lot of the crashes are them running into poles, running onto side walks or bulldozing though 20 parked bikes IN a parking lot..its crazy

I like the way that this video was presented with video clips which keeps more watchable and shows how bad things can be in China to the contrast rosy picture that they're trying to paint. I feel like a lot of the times it's very hard to find news that show these these less rosier sides of China. Would love love to see more videos with this formula though it probably will get restricted by KZbin so there is that...

0:00 Not to point out the obvious but when you export those "bought their driver's license people" to other countries and they setup shop in your city, that's what you'll see locally as well. NO JOKE!!!

This episode reminds me so much of that Goofy Driver cartoon, when he display a split personality, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde style.

I love that one. Been ages since I've last seen it though., I particularly remember the line "Of course I own the road. I pay my taxes, don't I?"

I'm a country boy. Country folk, whether for fun or to get the job done, tend to do things differently. I am also the son of a man who was in logistics, including as a member of the US Military for over thirty years. Because of that, I can somewhat relate to the stuff in this video, such as someone in a little car deciding to be dumb in the vicinity of large vehicles or the guy with the tractor doing things with it, it was not designed to do.

There is a road like that in Canada and Alaska (The Top of the World Highway). It was amazing but I would never go through that again.

We have plenty of Chinese drivers here in New Zealand. Most of them learn to drive for the first time here in New Zealand even though they have a valid Chinese driver's license.

Living in China for 6 years, I came to the conclusion that the 'Rules of the Road' are like the Pirate Code, not exactly a code, but more of guidelines or suggestions. Those e-bike drivers are the worse, and follow no rules.

This is so true, and not just China, my homeland Philippines is nuts when it comes to driving. The road infrastructure doesn't help either. I can say Japan has good drivers though, their standards of maintaining their roads and their cars is impeccable. Mountain driving is one of the best experiences I've ever had driving in Japan.

Even in the best of times, traffic in China is controlled chaos. I imagine it has gotten worse since I left many years ago.
