Make it make sense to me! How do you tell commuters Hay! Here is this broken thing (ie: the subway) I have I want to fix it. You’re gonna have to use said broken thing so I can take the money that I get from you to fix the broken thing while you’re using it! What? No! You fix it first and then you ask people to use it not the other way around. No one fixes broken things after they get people to use them at full price.! No one!

NYC is already a very expensive city to live. Adding another Toll was just going to make things worse for everybody.

Hochuls plan to add another tax to businesses will make things worse for everybody, as a similar thing was done in philly, casuing businesses to leave. NYC has some of the lowest car ownership rates in the developed world. The subway and transit systems, which are used by WAY more people than cars to enter Manhattan, are underbuilt and underfunded. For those drivers, this will reduce traffic and increase street parking availibility, since people will choose to take the subway over just their car. (most cars only have one person in them). This plan was done in other cities and it led to positive outcomes for all parties.

“Since becoming your governor my top priority has been staying your governor” LOL It is insane that she stopped it. Most people don’t “NEED” to drive into midtown/lower Manhattan. They just like being able to. People who live in midtown and businesses that have trucks or taxis need to drive there. This would have been a good thing
