There is always an abused childhood behind violent people, and even more certainly behind sadistic people. 🤷🏼♀️ (Personally, I have never met a single person who has not been abused). Perhaps you need to read more about abuse to understand that its definition covers countless situations. And keep in mind that one abuse, one day, one hour, can set a person off for the rest of their life. Violence destroys many things in a flash.

@@aie_aie_ the thing about verbal abuse is that it doesn't effect everyone. As a kid my confidence was through the roof. If anything tried to verbally abuse me, it didn't effect or bother me because I just thought they were dumb. But for any confident person there will always be some people working to try and break your confidence. That can include a particular teacher, a coach, a student. But you endure it, overcome it and it really doesn't effect you at any point in your life outside of the situation at the moment it is happening. Of course I grew up in the Church and had a very strong faith in Christ Jesus at a young age. So I had a confidence above myself,, so situations where people are trying to break you didn't really effect me negatively. Now physical abuse I'm sure is a different story because a kid can't do anything to stop it. But not everyone has been physically abused. I've never been physically abused.

Detectives who work hard in their job pick up details after dealing with so many crazies. I would think the best detective are those that actively worked on the streets as a patrol officer for years. Instead of taking the quick route and studying for promotion the soonest possible and pass the test the first time they take it. Because they may be book smart but they aren't as street smart as the cops who worked the streets longer.

The first rule of being a psychopath, is not talking about being a psychopath
@numerixm79873 жыл бұрын
Why not? It's a perfect start for the first manipulation. It's makes ppl feel fear, but also prying, so they start to ask. Than you play the charmed guy and take the fear from them. Taking someones fear he/she will be thankful for and that means you will get trust and because they feared you, they also will feel a little bit guilty for that. That's a perfect start. But I only use it in private environment, not in business. And additional, if it's get bigger and a longer relationship I can say "Not my fault, I told you so" after it crashed. Manipulating ppl with truth is much more powerful (and funny) than doing it with a lie.

Well done, and thank you for posting. As someone who has sat on both sides of the courtroom, it amazes me how much emphasis is placed on remorse. The accused can't show remorse if pleading not guilty. No matter how much guilt is felt for committing the crime, being caught, or trauma inflicted on the victims. Remorse admits guilt. The prosecution places such emphasis on it without admitting that the accused must confess to be remorseful. When I raised that point, I was told "You're pretty smart." and the interrogation quickly shifted. But I see your point, and these criminals do not empathize or even sympathize with the victims and victim's families. I guess I'm arguing semantics. Personally, I did have remorse in some instances, but had to bury it until after the trial was over. There are MANY famous psychopaths, and some are not criminals. Actors/Actresses, Surgeons/Doctors, Politicians/Lawyers, Scientists/Businessmen and Soldiers come to mind. Ashton Kutcher, Betty Davis, Dr. Everett Koop, Dr. Mengele, Henry Kissinger, George Bush, Sheila Dixon all have shown psychopathic traits throughout their careers. I believe Mengele & Dixon are the only criminals I named. Those professions almost require and certainly reward an ability to manipulate, be successfully dishonest, stay emotionally detached, and present a "professional" appearance that differs from what others think you should feel. The criminal psychopaths you've reviewed have additional psychiatric issues that turned them into sadistic, violent, criminals. Who knows, if psychopaths did not have the rewarding outlet of their chosen profession they may become criminal in nature. Or if the power afforded them by government & public opinion allows them, they may perform criminal acts AND NOT THINK IT IS CRIMINAL !! Eg, Mengele, Dixon. I tried to select a broad cross section of age, gender, race, politics to show it affects all groups. Apologies for the length, but your question & topic were very thought provoking & complex. Thanks again.

Something that always gets me (and makes me feel kinda gross for thinking it) is the victim are, a majority of the time, always some innocent pure hearted do-gooder just out for milk and cookies when evil snatches then up. What if, by chance, someone killed say Ted Bundy? Would we be here discussing how charismatic and nice and handsome, with SUCH a bright future he was? If someone killed Gacy would he be remembered as a lover of children and a community leader? Odds are yes, yes we would...in as much as the victims are remembered by the masses, we tend to fixate on the killers, anyway. They would be remembered as how they presented themselves before capture. This is just how I think, like I said makes me feel gross sometimes but I can't help it. Edit: auto correct sucks.

Idk, whenever I've watched Jeffrey Dahmer in his interviews, I always found him to be fairly genuine in whatever he is saying at the time. It seemed authentic to me, as in he could have said more/less in an attempt to make himself look better/less evil with regards to why he did what he did or if he had remorse for his actions, etc. but I never saw any of that in his responses. He was pretty blunt on what his end "goals" were for the victims he brought back to his place and very open about his struggles with his homosexuality and strong desire for other male companionship, and described it all using terms and details that certainly didn't benefit himself in any way. Compared to most interviews with other serial killers, he has never downplayed his own actions or claimed innocence or given some obvious BS justification for murdering people (such as being possessed by a demon, a belief that he was cleansing the world of inferior/impure beings, etc.) or intentionally tried to make himself out to be a sympathetic character. Idk, just never really looked at him the same as most other infamous serial killers, as I feel like he really did have a more human side in him that all the others very clearly lacked.

Jeffrey Dahmer actually is one of the most puzzling serial killers for experts and some wouldn't even put him into psychopath chategory neccesarily. One reason why he acts so weard, blank and timid in his jail interviews is because he is most likely heavily medicated. I'm not saying he isn't neccesarily a psychopath but pretty much every expert says that he is differend type of serial killer than psychopaths usually are, he doesn't fit into the types of what there is. He was super open about everything after being caught but not in a way like say BTK that loves to talk about what he did because it gets him off like some of serial killers do. Those kinda killers usually also lie, embellish and even take other peoples murders into their rap sheet like Henry Lee Lucas who went as far as saying he was in island in some serial killer secret society school and took unsolved cases pretty much so he could get outside to drive around with cops/have the highest body count. Dahmer didn't really ever brag about what he did, didn't try and get into interviews but still was really straight forward and didn't lie about how the murders went or atleast his stories matched to the evidences.

@@thecensoredmuscle563 I don't think you have duck deep at all into this topic as whole. Someone who everyone knows, Ted Bundy. He was necropfilic, came back to the various stages of decomposed bodies and defiled them and also abducted atleast one kid that is known of but never told what he did with her.. but we can just about guess (only reason he one time ever talked about any of his victims was because it was a day before his execution and it was his last card to play so this pörn made me do this argument was his hail mary of maybe they won't kill me and he avoided talking what he did to the 6 year old girl even when asked if I remember the age right, at the ballpark, but anyway because if he did tell anything about that all of his plans of getting pörn is the real killer not me sympathy for his desperate last attempt to not get the chair would be demolished)(The whole thing was doomed from the start anyway obviously but beore that he had stated his innocence). Just take a tour on Carl Panzram, Albert Fish or numerous, so horrific south-american serial killers like Luis Garavito that Dahmer is nothing compared to (there is many more examples of super sickening serial killers and they just go on and on and on) and you see that Dahmer isn't by any means the end of totem pole of serial killers in terms of what he did. His behaviour in terms of acts isn't as out of the norm among serial killers as many people think. Also serial killers do cross into parafilic acts in many cases, like children or necrophilia. More so what might differ with Dahmer was his psychology and what drove him to do it all, it isn't as clear cut case as what Usually does happen aka someone borns as a psychopath and is heavily abused as a kid and you have a serial killer (Dahmer wasn't abused as a kid and there was back then with professionals and still is some debate if he even was a psychopath, it doesn't mean we cannot agree that he was supremely deranged).
@thecensoredmuscle5632 жыл бұрын
@@aleksisuuronen5969 well yes there is a potential case with kids with Bundy. But none that Bundy admitted or proved. But what makes Dahmer even sicker is that the guy is so comfortable with admitting it. Wanting to be known by the world as a person who did that stuff.
@aleksisuuronen59692 жыл бұрын
@@thecensoredmuscle563 firstly I said Bundy first because that's a name people recognize, I also named 3 people who did way sicker acts and let's thrown in Andrei Chikatilo. Then we can go into how it's actually quite common for serial killers to talk about their crimes (they usually talk to the point of cops hard to shut them up or they totally lock down and don't say anything like Bundy). Again I don't know if Dahmer was truly a psychopath but especially psychopaths talk so much and openly when they get caught that cops are just baffled about the amount of info they are getting without any work. There is those differences tho, because serial killers many times love to talk about it because it brings them back in their memory to that place when they did these acts and that they can finally share this thing that they hold on pedastal as their grand achievement but Dahmer didn't do the talking like your common serial killer usually would and psychiatricts saw this dualism in him of somekinda remorse even tho psychopaths don't hold Any remorse. But if you just want to say Dahmer have been the most horrible serial killer there have been in terms of acts, you are just plain wrong in that. Not even close.
