Hi Kaci, I know this may sound usual to you, but I’ve truly been struggling to know Jesus and desire that intimacy with Him. I’m struggling to deny myself and am afraid to read the Gospels because not many passages present Him as loving or gracious, you know. Nevertheless I still do love Him, through I struggle with disobedience and rebellion. This spiritual slump has been feeling like it’s gonna last forever and am scared that I may not go to heaven…or that when He comes I’m not gonna be ready. I’ll be watching this video. Thank you so much for posting this video. I thought I was the only one and I’m glad I’m not the only one! I just turned 19 and I just bought your devotional. I really do wanna honor our God in my future marriage and while I definitely feel like I’m definitely young to be looking for someone. I’m not looking for anybody right now, but I know in the future when God does have me in that season, I never wanna settle for something less where I know God knows I deserve better and I really do wanna be very intentional of what man I lie in my life and definitely a man with Goldy character characters that shows in the Bible that’s truly important. Can’t wait to read the devotional. I’ve been subscribed for your channel last 2 to 3 years and I really feel like it definitely has helped me in certain times and I really need videos. I’ve been feeling dry for about the whole month now. I’ve been focusing on hobbies (or I guess addictions since they’ve been taking up the majority of my time every day) and Bible reading has been rough. I haven’t been motivated and when I try reading I would just impatiently wait until I can be finished. Hopefully this season ends soon enough and I can be on fire for God again.

Thank you for being honest about this human part of us. It is critical that we remind ourselves daily who we are; if we truly are JESUS' disciples. Put HIM first and ask the Holy Spirit for help to do this. We can do nothing (no thing) without HIS strength, courage and mindset. Blessings

I've been praying all morning about why I feel so distant with God and yet I know I haven't put Him first lately with being "busy". This video definitely helped remind me of my priorities! Your third point about "don't stop fighting" is what I needed to hear the most. I don't want to keep being pulled away from His presence. I need to fight for it in this season. Thank you ❤

Girl, SLUMP is exactly the word to describe how I feel right now! I've always loved the comparison about acquiring a taste for nutritional food after only consuming junk. My life hasn't been very "Nutritional" as of late. I even missed church this past Sunday, and felt awful about it. I on one hand feel so very blessed to have the relationships and works that he has given me to do in my church, but at the same time, I feel so very nervous and weighed down when the time comes to do those things! I think the Lord wanted me to watch this video. Thank you for inspiring me to do some much needed work in my life!

My biggest growth with my relationship with God, was realizing that it requires discipline. It’s not about the feelings around it, although they are sometimes there and are so rewarding, but about developing a habit of spending time even when I don’t feel like it.

Fighting stood out to me. After months of praying for God to give me an answer to something that repeatedly plagued my mind (I didn't even way to pray about it) and as a result growing close to and desiring that intimacy with him, I suddenly feel dry. I read my Bible out of rote rather than devotion, and when I pray I am so distracted. But thank you Kaci for the encouragement to fight for this relationship that I deeply desire

So encouraging Kaci. Thank you! I was spiritually dry for such a long time. It seems like forever. I would pray for God to help to give me a hunger for his word. The only time I would touch the Bible was to take it to church and to prepare for our small group Bibile study. I even confessed my struggle with my small group. I thank God for them because they have been with me, encouraging me, and praying for me. Then I thought to just go back to basics. I asked myself in what way I enjoyed Bible study when I first came to Christ 4 years ago and that was doing topical studies. This month I did a Give Thanks scripture writing plan and studies the verse of the day in context. God met me cause my heart is filled with gratitude for all what God has done and praising Him for Who He is. He is faithful and will draw near when I draw near. Thank you again Kaci and God bless.

12:00-12:50 I was thinking that, or rather, interpreting that what one consumes could consume themselves or shape their appetite. To Be careful what you're consuming because your appetite is what you're drawing yourself to. I guess, if that's what you're saying. Every point was exactly what I needed to hear. I’ve hit the point of truly feeling the dryness or lack of intimacy with Jesus and it’s been a long season of this for me but I think I’m at the breaking point and prayerfully the turning point. What would you suggest I start to read in the Bible to begin “forc feeding” it to myself again?

I agree I feel like god is in my life and is the first/main priority in my life. Without god I wouldn’t have a striving relationship with my boyfriend. Our relationship is very healthy and strong because of god being in the middle of it. I wouldn’t be a successful registered behavior technician without god playing the main part of it. 😊🥰
