Bruh. Don't get me started on that. I once saw a Chinese company CCTV camera inside the drone control station of a Rustom-2 drone. This L1 bidder nonsense from the Ministry of Defence is going to end up costing us in a big manner one day.

Dunno, I think the new camo is a LOT better than I expected. Bit disappointed that they didn't go for multicam, but this does seem to work, based on many other pics from various other exercises.

Mules are worth their weight in gold up in the Himalayas when you need last mile logistics up to the post from the base camp, on an incline so steep, no wheeled vehicle can make it up. Indian Army has 6000 actual, real, alive mules for this job. But I agree that these robotic "mules" are a gimmick to make a f00l out of the Indian public. Had these been purchased by the Army to support an Indian startup that was actually developing robotic quadruped technology, I would have accepted it. But these robots are from a US company (Ghost Robotics). I can't ever forgive the Army top brass and MoD for wasting money and making a f00l out of the Indian public when the bulk of our Infantry still looks the same as they did in the 1980s. Fun fact: Chinese PLA has a force of over 10,000 pigeons in the messenger role. Actual, alive, flesh and bone pigeons.

If I am a startup making quadruped, I'll only invest in R&D of the quadruped itself, its sub-components (BLDC motors, Li ion batteries, LiDAR, etc) will be sourced from OEM of those components. AFAIK, India does have atleast one OEM each for the aforementioned categories. But there is a high chance that the OEMs that supply components to Zen quadruped are foreign, not Indian.
