Eccellente! Love the Italians, wonderful people. I’m sure that was a thrill for the people of Philadelphia, so many are of Italo-Americano background. I remember when I was in the U.S. Air Force and spent time in Aviano Air Base near Venice, such a beautiful country with kind and welcoming people.

They are indeed fighter jets, and good ones at their time. This plane was the ine that scared the British at Falklands. Even if it is subsonic is the only reaction jet fighter capable to do the Lomcevac maneuver, a maneuver only this plane and propelled aircrafts can do

That was a wonderful treat! I saw them in my hometown of San Pedro, Ca do a fly by over the Amerigo Vespucci Italian Training Tall Ship, and though it was a very brief flyover, we were all just happy and grateful to see them. I think it is such a rare opportunity to see them at all, since there are many in Italia, including a close friend of mine in Milano, who have never seen them at all. They're likely at the end of a long North American Tour. I wish I'd of seen the 2024 California Capital Airshow in Sacramento, California where they also flew along with the Thunderbirds. They did so many flyovers over Ca alone, it was awesome. Who knows if and when they will ever return. Such a rare moment for those of us who were able to see them at all!

Back in the 70's, the British Red Arrows flew an air show in Reading,Pa. Also, when the Ukraine split from Russia, a couple of blue and yellow Ukranian Migs flew at an air show in either Reading or Scranton, Pa.

The Italian team flies jet trainers, not fighters. The Canadian snowbirds frequently perform at US airshows (another team flying jet trainer aircraft).

Does Philly airport need your permission for international flights? They were asked to fly air shows here in the states. Last I recalled Italy is a close US Allied with over 12,000 US troops stationed over there. Bases owned and operated by the US.
