The focus on EV acceleration and speed must come at the expense of range. Imagine if EVs only accelerated 0-60 in 7 seconds, what would that do for range? Increase it I'm guessing. Having the roads filled with insanely fast EVs is not good either in my estimation. It used to be that only a small percentage of people had access to fast cars and those that had them...knew what they were dealing with. Now with every Tom, Dick and Harry buzzing around with lattes in one hand and a cell phone in the other, with such acceleration on tap...that cannot bode well for road safety. I haven't gotten into the fact that China controls most of the raw materials that EV batteries use, or the environmental impact of what to do with old EV batteries or that our electrical cannot handle the wide spread adoption of EVs. Norway has the highest percentage use of EVs of any country in the world with 54% of the cars on the road being electric, but did you hear that Norway ranks second in electrical use per capita only behind Iceland. That's the dirty secret...and Norway and Iceland combined only have 5.5 million people. How are we going to produce enough electricity to sustain this level of use? Oh and EVs are generally way more expensive to buy and are dependent on tax breaks to encourage sales. It's a subsidy for wealthy people to buy expensive cars.

Nuclear power plants are the future if we plan to drive and use everything on electricity... Co2 hype is getting stronger every day and some scientists and politicians earn big money to get it going... Co2 in our atmosphere has no impact on climate change ...it's the Sun as a solar star that has it's cycle an have direct impact on climate longer before Homo Sapiens even existed...
