Courts of law do not give judgment according to public opinion or to reflect public opinion unless such opinion represents or presents the state of the law. This is because the judge’s clientele is the law and the law only. Public opinion is, in most instances, built on sentiments and emotions. Both have no company with the law. They are kilometers and kilometers away from the law. The pulse of the Nigeria’s public opinion, if l can feel it, in this case, is to allow the appeal on the speculation or should l say belief that the election was irregularly conducted in violation of the Electoral Act. The concern of the court is whether the appellants proved their case.

Yes. You cannot build something on nothing. The emotional sentiments and threats expressed on social media, especially by Obidients mean nothing in Courts. The Courts deal with proven facts and precedence, not hysteria. All that was required by LP and PDP was to present the figures of their Agents from the polling units and compare with what was uploaded by INEC. They never did that because they knew they lost. You can abuse and threaten as much as you want on SM. That cannot replace facts.

Obi started well, but he got himself into the wrong crowd who believes he should be forcefully foistered on the rest of Nigerians. My point is SE should have checkmated Atiku in PDP. They should have taken that ticket and subsequently made APC to look for an SE Candidate as well. The SE didn't. But the moment Tinubu won his own party's nomination, criticism started and hateful comments were unleashed mainly from people from the SE. Forcing your view on others and retaliating against them for their choice through hateful speeches and criticisms are what the Obi movement have done and noted for; they have de-marketed Obi. Our problem in Nigeria is that we do not read we just follow social media and the opinions of others without checking out the facts. I can tell you that this judgement secured a renewed respect for our judiciary internationally and to those of us who are lovers of truth. Obi's lawyers knew the truth that he had no chance but they took him and cashed out. If Datti his running mate could not see the truth, I thought Obi was more intelligent than to be fooled into believing he has the mandate. Donald Trump used social media to cash in but see what is happening. Convicted or not he will be one of America's worst president. Peter obi should go and rest, he may have a chance in 2027 only if he is honest, true to himself, keep all these fake pastors who prophesy falsehoods away and focus on God. Don't worry too much read the 2022 electrical law it's clearly stated that inec is at liberty to use what so ever method to collate results..... transmission of results via electronic was never stated to be compulsory....what is expected from both Atiku and Obi is to provide alternative and real results different from the supposed fake release by inec period....but they never did instead they both wanted Tinubu to be disqualified to claim victory even when 70% of their prayers at one time or the other ruled on that matters up to supreme court like Shetima double nomination and non upload of results on irev (Osun case)

Let me ask you a question. Assume INEC had gone ahead to transmit the result and a party disputed it, what would happen. Would INEC not be asked to bring out form EC8A to prove it? Can the e transmission not be manipulated or hacked? Even in the USA where voting is done online, there were claims of manipulations during AlGore/Bush and Biden/Tump election. Who says it cannot be the same here? Would it be justice to say once INEC do e transmission, even if it was manipulated, then justice has been done.

Why not raise those faults. You just assume that the number of claims are too many that the court OUGHT to be able to fault 3 out of it. Do you know how many counts were brought by DSS against Kanu at the lower courts? All of them were dismissed bcos DSS was not able to prove them. When APC said Obi should be disqualified, the court dismissed it. You decided not to see that.
