Thank you Mary for showing how much time and efforts goes into a drawing.

I first saw your work years ago (not saying how long, ha ha...years!) and your drawings inspired me. I went out and bought Micron Pigmas and Prismacolor pencils and good paper and tried to do something with my own imagination. But the time was not right then. I hope that now, after all this time, I can do something with the spark you lit in my fingers all those years ago. I'm ready! Thank you for being the one that planted the seed back then. Now, I can grow it!

So. I’ve always seen ME items...but never collected until now!! Talk about late to the party!!! Somehow, groups I follow on FB have pushed me down the rabbit hole! I buy everything I can of hers now🥰🍒 I love her talent and REALNESS.

Mary, I just love your work, one day I will try to do something like you. Who know? I'm not young, but when I stop working (retire) I'll draw a lot. Thanks for your inspiration and for showing your talent for us.

Thank you Mary!! This video is so inspiring that it reminded me of how much I loved drawing!!! I love your room as well! I really wish you had a "room tour" video. I'm sure many of us would love to see the beautiful things you have in your art room!! :)

I think it's a HOOT! It's so Very Mary. A bit wry, tongue slightly in cheek, making sure the sweet stuff you give us is never cloying. Jimmy Durante is a delightful soundtrack, the contrasts heighten the enjoyment! 'Course, I wasn't watching expecting a course in technique, I just appreciate the whole as a clever bit of filmmaking and animation. Your hand wasn't in my way atall, I can see the drawing grow every split second. Thanks for the gift of your gift!

I use Tria and Copic markers, Prismacolor pencils, plate finish Bristol board. I had to do it fast to keep up with Mr. Durante. Besides, I don't want to give away ALL my secrets!

lovely mary! and some people on this thread need to seriously chill out! cannot believe how rude & obnoxious some of these comments are. this video is not about mary teaching you how to draw. it is about watching mary draw. all you negative people need to give it a rest.

Cynnthea, the materials I use have been posted on my website for years, so I can't imagine why you had trouble finding out what tools I use. As a matter of fact, I answered that question a few comments before yours. Also, this was our very first video and we certainly learned a lot! However, it was meant as more of a feel-good video rather than a how-to video. It obviously did not have that effect on you!

why do you mix your copics with prisma pencils?? Xx love the vid made me smile.

For the negative comments from people who are CLEARLY not reading the above description, this is a "Watch Mary Draw Video" NOT a tutorial video!!! :)

I too would have liked to see better with the camera at a different angle. Thanks for posting.

what markers and color pencils do you use?

I wish the camera would have been on the other side. The hand is in the way of the drawing...

different camera angle would be great! We get to see as much or more of your hand as the pic :) too fast... you can still fast forward with a different speed.

And there's no way you could "give away" your "secrets," as no one was meant to do what you do. Just saying'...so many artists think someone can mirror them. So not happening.
