this was taken 6 years ago. I wonder if they still use the same meat supplier because many have said (recently) that the taste has changed / been altered, and that's usually a sign that changes were made to the supplier(s). And it did not taste as good.
@ChadwickHorn4 жыл бұрын
When we go for any period of time without something, we tend to fetishize and enhance our memories of whatever it is that we've tasted. Also, as we age, our taste palletes change. You can't get much cheaper than the process they have because they only tend to produce the McRib when pork prices are lowest (in the fall, generally). As much as people demonize McDonald's, they do use real meat in all of their products. I didn't believe it until I worked there. Sometimes they mix things like dextrose or preservatives in, as the video stated, to enhance the flavor but all in all the meat portion is exactly what it is; meat.

I've never had one but if it's anything like the stuff w get at our snackbars they use some meat but then it gets stuffed with fillers and things that makes the water stay in it then they mix until you get more of a dough that is a lot cheaper than any seasoned meat product. The way they make this look it's just a sausage but then they wouldn't be making the profit, the deboning alone of that pork would be expensive.

ToMMy BoY Actually if you listen, he talks about the part where they were adding stuff to the meat, like the salt, preservatives, water I believe he said, which means the pork is still the main ingredient. Believe whatever you want. No one is forcing you to watch these videos or eat at McDonald's. Live your own life.
@suivatra1237 жыл бұрын
Are you being serious, pork isn't the only ingredient in any resturant or home recipe. Seasoning, and flavoring are always a part of that. In some cases preservatives if it's being mass produced and shipped.
@kennygo83007 жыл бұрын
By grinding the meat and forming it into a patty (just like a hamburger), it's a restructured meat product. They show you how they "restructure" it in the video. The stuff they add is the issue. I personally don't eat processed foods because of the preservatives. If you can deal with MCRIB PORK PATTY Ingredients: Pork, Water, Salt, Dextrose, Rosemary Extract, then enjoy your meal.

For me, it’s the McChicken. The best fast food sandwich. I even ask for extra McChicken sauce packets and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige. One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, “Wow, three for free!” and the nice friendly McDonald’s worker laughed and said, “I’m going to call you 3-for-free!”. Now the staff greets me with “hey it’s 3-for-free!” and ALWAYS give me three packets. It’s such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald’s restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I’m in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs. I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it’s delicious! What a great restaurant
