To be precise Knex is an ORM (Object relational mapping tool) which means that without to know all of the technicalities of SQL you can do some typical operations like: create a table, create an entity, delete or update an existing entity. I might suggest TypeORM.

I really enjoy these videos about how to apply the ML techniques to a particular problem and how to turn that into a business. Something that I think would be really cool to see would be how to dockerize this to make deployment easier! Something showing how to create containers for things like the database, back end, etc. (not fully aware of how it would come together, hence the request for the video) and then orchestrating communication between the containers; allowing the database to live on its own, yet still accessible by the other components.

As a side note, many of these libraries create higher-order component, which create a false hierarchy, because actually what they do is to provide a service. Hence, now react provides hooks. So you might want to try to create your own hooks rather than relying on these libs which might be outdated pretty soon. Also in prod, you should stick to a standard like 12 factor app so the global config vars used by the app should be sys environment variables, they should not be hardcoded in any config file.

@@kacperolek4754 its probably a bit 'minority report' but one could score different characteristics of the population to determine an overall score (like the one in the video) but the score would be a 'likelihood of committing violent crime' - so what metrics would you track? Maybe the area they're from, whether their parents have criminal records, whether the individual has an existing record, how well are they performing in school etc. This can be tied in with existing Psychology and sociology data which has studied persons potential to reoffend based off similar characteristics.

I have a question, admittedly, I've not looked at the Tensorflow code yet in the repo but how does the model react to having different numbers of features being uploaded via the .csv? So, if this is trained on a .csv with 9 features, I'm not going to be able to upload a .csv with 12 features am I unless there is something that keeps this dynamic (which I'm not aware that there is)? And if you're training a model based on the csv file they have uploaded then that defeats the purposed of having this because of overfitting. Maybe I'm missing something but it's not clear if the users would have to upload a standardised csv or not...

Hi, I'm also learning machine learning on my own; I'd recommend you to go over basic integration and derivatives. If you want to focus on specific regions of those topics, you should try reviewing the chain rule (which is used in backpropagation). If you really want to get deep into machine learning algorithms, etc. you should check out topics in statistics, such as Bayesian Inference and Gradient Descent. There's a book I recommend you check out, called Algorithms by Christos Papadimitriou, Sanjoy Dasgupta, and Umesh Vazirani.
